182 Cup spoiler - can anyone help?

Hi,

Im trying to sell my 182 Cup and someone has pointed out to me that the car is missing the front splitter.

It seems that my car left the factory without one, and (being typically helpful) Renault wont give me a price for the splitter without a part number!

Does anyone know how much a splitter will cost?

£140-150. Biggest rip off you'll ever see. Leon Cupra splitter is much more complex design, costs about £20. Robbing barstards.

Get a Megane splitter and trim of the ends, job done

Surely a Megane splitter would be just as 'in demand' and therefore just as costly as the Clio version? Or were the Meganes fitted with the splitter as standard and not as an optional extra?

No, just using it as an example. They are a total rip-off. Should of been fitted when you bought it. The Ktec carbon fibre one's are cheaper than the plastic renaultones.

Megane ones dont look quite right imo. Splash out the 150 like I did, will look much better!

Mk2 Ph1 Megane Splitters are around £40 and fit no problem... they're quite flexible. They look very similar indeed.

Is this potential owner aware of how much a splitter is? Are you likely to lose a sale over it?
I would just say that I didn't have time to sort it out, I will drop the price £50 they can't be much more than that.

The RS Grille's used to be £100+ too, but they dropped the price to just £30 odd... shows how much Margin is in the plastic trim!

As said, I'd just say you've heard that Renault dealers forgot to fit them to some (truth) and you've never bothered getting it sorted and then knock £50 off.

Im afraid not. I was offered £6500 by a stealer, as part exchange on a £8500 MK5 Golf GTTDi.
Im half considering it, but i dont think i really want to buy something more expensive. I guess id accept an offer in excess of that, but i really did think it would fly away at £7k.
In all fairness, its an honest little car so i wouldnt be adverse to keeping it should there be no interest.

take it to renault and show them that there have been no rivet/screw holes, thus there has never been a splitter on it...??

Someone posted a while back that a Peugeot 206[?] front spolier would fit and cost £18 from Peugeot parts shop.

Dunno if it was the 206, worth doing a search, cos it was on here
