Williams engine in my RSi and what else wud i need?

Hello, Ive been wanting to do more to my 8v RSi but have been limited to tuning parts..Turbo'ing seems to be a waste of time, throttle bodies a little tricky due to not enough room and the Volvo engine a little expensive...

So now ive made up my mine, put the Williams engine into my 8v RSi Clio!
What else apart from the engine will i need to purchase?

And a rough cost of each part?

you could use you RSi gearbox (has slightly shorter ratios than the williams box)

if you find a decent engine it could be done fairly cheap i imagine

Would need to upgrade the brakes too. Plus probably the suspension.

Anyone else have any comments?? This is what i wanna do so please, i wont accept 172 conversions this is the plan! Williams RSi!

To be honest your suspension and brakes would be fine..

Not worth the cost of upgrading to 16v brakes and the suspenion would be upto the job

Volvo 440 Turbo conversion???.... its what RSi's were made for

Either that or make some carefull alterations to the underside of the RSi bonnet using a hammer .

Right ok brilliant, iv actually taken my bonnet off as my cars overheating and wanted to see if it still carried on without the bonnet attached... and my god that bonnet weighs hell of alot!

Speak to my cousin (Geezer) on the clio16valver forum... We've just put a williams engine in his hybrid and pretty much changed every part to new.

He might also be able to supply you with a few parts or even an engine if you need one?? Can't remember which ones he's got lying around atm..
