Since the standard 172 wheels (for example) weigh about 20kg each (with tyres fitted) that is a crazy weight for a wheels. So is it not possible to get them lightened? Can you even do this? Or would the only way around it to get some made up new in a lighter material? Im assuming that would cost a bomb though?
