how do i get the plastic bump guards off the side of my car ?
and
should i spray the black parts of my bumpers aswell or not ?

the doors are easy, open to door, you'll see a gromit on the inside of the door behind the strip, take this off, and then pull the clip towards the back of car, this will the come off, rear ones are tricky-er, not taken mine off personally, but I've been told you have to tap them with a rubber mallet coverd in cloth towards the front of the car.

and yes if you're going to do the side strips do the bumper mouldings too.

ps. not sure if the side strips are taken off the same on a ph1 and ph2, you'd have to check.

rang the garage today to see wot is happening with my car and apparently the new injectors havent arrived yet so it could be saturday before i get her her back even tho i was told it would be today so im a bit pissed off as you can imagine

just ordered a set of silvervisions for the front and back of the car
wot should i order for the side ?
 
to l8 ordered some silver side repeaters with bulbs to replace the egyolks on the side of my car lol

thing is tho i wanna know if its legal to have silver indicators all round
arent they orange for a reason ?
 
rang the garage today and should be gettin the car back tomoro
so i have plans to do all of the follows once i have it back hope fully not much more than a day or 2 of work

fit new exhaust
fit new air induction kit
colour code bumper mouldings, door guards and mirrors
paint renault badges and back badges(orange)
paint RSI lettering on doorguards orange
fit new number plates
paint rear brakes and front callipers(white)
replace indicators with silver visions x6

should be fun. all before/during/after pics will be up as soon as the work is completed.
opinions ppl if you please. think im gettin the hang of it lool

well gonna have to postpone the work i had planned for the car this weekend after the guy looked at starting to replace the nacked injectors turns out there is damage to the head gasket aswell
all this for a broken timing belt
gona be next weekend before i get any thing done to her tht i want done
had all my equipment and stuff ready to do it today and tomoro just so people could see what it was gonna start out like

but i guess you will have to wait lol

watch this space ......
 
well seen as how i aint gettin my car back for just under a week, dont need the petrol money so i just bought my bonnet pins

well i found out clio bonnet catches have a tendancy to pop without warnig with age so i thought they would do for tht and i dont think they look tht bad tbh
 
well i still havent got my car back seems its taking longer than they sadi it would so im not very happy. but apparently all that reamins to be done is putting the engine back together and putting it back in the car
so with any luck i will get her back tomoro or saturday
1 more thing on my list aswell
i have bought a second hand casette player and cd changer so now tht has to be fitted aswell if it will fit tht is lol
keepin y'all posted as things develop
so might be able to post before and after pics starting from saturday or hopefully tomoro

Why did you not just buy a headunit that has an aux/usb port for an MP3 player?

everday ive rang so far he has sed tomoro
and has been sayin tht for week

know the feelin im startin to get psised off
it cant be this hard to get it sorted so i can go pick it up
will be glad when i get it back ive got a list as long as my arm of things to do to make it look and sound good
gotta ask tho is an air filter worth puttin on or not
its just i have a universal one and not sure if it will be any good any one know

perfomance wise your not likely to notice at all, infact if you get heat soak you may well get de-creased performance, should improve the sound of the engine though (throaty, induction rawr), depending on the type of filter it is.
 
Heat soak is basically feed warm or hot air to your. Car. Cars perform better when a cold air supply is fed rather than your engine just sucking in the hot air around engine which I what will happen if you just bung ony old air filter without treating it to a caf
 
well stillnot gettin my car back but not reali complaining coz when i rang the guy today he sed they are having to rebuild to whole topend of the engine :
gaskets
inlets
valves
injectors
and the topmount or somethin
so good for the car at end of the day
should be noticably faster once all the new parts are broken in
 
they aint costing me anything its all being paid for
by the guy who sold me the car as its under warantee
 
This is the second car you have bought that has turned out to be a total shed. Do you not inspect them before buying? Also, the text wraps itself, you don't need to hit return all the time when typing.
