so anyway this evening while being skint and not being able to go out i stayed in and searched for a insurance quote.

i log onto confused.com and type in all the details for my 1.2 and at the top it came up with some fairly good deals tbh.........but for some reason i browsed to see what the most expensive one was

if your having a drink right now you may want to swallow it or swig some more for a dramatic effect of spitting it out again at pure disbelief.

so its a 1.2 w reg clio, no mods, 2 years ncd with pass plus doing 15k miles a year with a company called done deal for.........

lol i went on there too, for a 1.4 clio dynamique, garaged etc in BL2 postcode TPFT. Just passed my test and the CHEAPEST one was £7k :lolup: Adrian flux actually quoted me 9

I thought you had to take Pass Plus within a year of passing your driving test but it is valid for the rest of your life? I've yet to find an insurer who will give the maximum 30% discount available if you have it.

Your sort ov there.

You pass it in the first year of driving, and when passing you get a leaflet who will give you that small discount. SOme insurers will take it as 1ncb other will only give certain % off.

And yes after the first year its runs out basicly, so you have to use it within a year to get the benefit of cheaper insurance

True. And they are taking the punt that someone is desperate enough to pay their inflated prices.

Still, it's little wonder that there's so many uninsured drivers knocking about with the level of piss-taking from the companies themselves going on.

And he said that was his maximum quote aswell, he clearly stated he got some pretty good quotes at the top.
