Just picked up my Black Ph2 172

  Black Clio 172
All i can see is omg it is lively in the wet! Anyway I have tried researching a few things on the search but cant find answers to the following:-

1) What does the little button next to the dash light adjustor do? it has a light above it. Im pretty sure it is not ESP/TC
2) Is there anything i can do to improve the rough idle?
3) Where is the best place to but silvertec bulbs? Orange on black does not look good.

Cheers in advance

1) It'll be the TC, unless you have cruise control too, some late 172s do have both.
2) RS Tuner Remap
3) The Internetz!

Anyone got a picture of what the TC button looks like? my unknown button has a little red light above a push button. Whatever it is it isnt working atm and there are no warning lights

Sounds like an aftermarket alarm system too, the LED for the OEM one is next to the gearstick. May well be an import.

it is the alarm! strange. it has locking wheel nuts but no window etching - i guess it could be an import
It'll be an import 110%. Not that it makes any difference at all. That'll be a cobra alarm and the button is used to enter the pin for the alarm if the fob battery goes flat at any point.

Cheers mate - It was previously on a private plate too so v confusing!

Im just glad someone else has gone to the expense of fitting an alarm and locking wheel nuts.

The rough idle, is that just from cold or all the time?

The Renault Sport Engines are dog rough from cold, they like the warmth before you kick its hole in, saying that, a higher premium fuel may help this slightly i.e V-Power
