Just got Trolley Racing Jack

  Titanium 182
It looks like it's too high at the back to reach the clio's box section of the chassis so you will have to use it to jack on the sills which will bend.

Pricey, I just drive onto some blocks of wood then use my £15 trolley jack & axle stands. Never had a problem.

LED's are a good idea though.

I have one of these without the led's in. It was a clark racing jack i think.

Gets under a ridiculously low clio fine with room to spare Aluco.

Safe in what sense?

You should be using axel stands to support the car, and the jack to lift it imo. Ive learnt the hard way.

Do you leave the jack underneath supporting the car?

na nooo way would i do that ive got 4 tonne axel stands just when jacking up and bring the car back down as it moves it has s**t plastic wheels on it but my drive is s***t lol ;)

so don't you guys jack up on the sill and then support the car with axle stands on the ribbed long strips at all? btw...that's a good jack!

Only thing with that jack, is make sure it, and the jacking point, are 100% dry. The rubber is pretty slippery on it.

Got to support the car with axel stand's or you got a death wish lol and the sill are not the place to jack up the car as they can bend and are weak ;)

It's nice to think of it as an upgrade, but another member on here had one, it gave up and the handle snapped and he's now rolling with a £15 jack again, doing the job perfectly. AST'd 172 cup for the lowness record.

How much did that set you back?

Very low;)

Think about it though, when you are jacking up the car you are not lifting the whole weight of it, only 1/4 or maybe 1/2 if you are jacking the rear end up on the beam itself.

haha yeah most definatly, can never be too safe! if your careful enough when jacking up on the sill, they shouldn't bend really. i've not had any problems so far doing it that way.

i like that jack f0xy's got. is it a costco own branded or a named manufacture?

£25 pound jack from halfords. Win.

Doesn't even fit under the sideskirts of my car, let alone the sills! Driving onto some planks of wood is a lot cheaper than £70 though.

  Mondeo TXS Bardge.
i take it that arckan one will be more than enough for any car, we have a laguna and my c4,
currently i have a £10 2tonne jack from aldis, It picked the clio and our corsa up no bother, but i'm not to sure of it under my c4, seems to strain quite a bit. but now ive lowere dit it wont fit under the sill let alone under the pinch rail, at the rear i can just about get it under the rail, if someone rocks the car.
i tried the whole drive it on blocks and put your cheaper jack under it, but when the jack was fully extended my front wheels were still on the deck and the rear was starting to lift ( c4s have a rediculous amount of suspension travel), how high is the lift on that jack?
