Sump bolts rounded off

Car  182, SQ7, Trafic
Three of the f*****s rounded off :( ETorx are s**t! Why didn't they just use normal bolts!?

Any ideas/experience, space to small to get any thing in to score it and get a flathead in?!

Centre drill each one thats rounded, then drill the head for each one. Increase size of drill until you can get the head off. Don't go too deep as you could damage thread.

not got the right tools?

hate it when stuff like that happened...especially when i was a tweenie, and using budget rolsen shite lol

Good tools and experience usually helps.

Try a tiny dremel cutting disc to get an edge? probably round out though tbh.

Right tools for what!? I used the right tool for the rest of the bolts as I did these bolts. It rounded off the edges of the bolt

Have you tried smashing a smaller torx socket on?? Or just grind the heads off with a die grinder then remove the thread with mole grips when the sumps off.

Not being my sockets I'm not really want to do it lol! I'll try get hold of an E7 as only have 8 and 6 at the moment.

Thats s**t dan :( Hope u sort it soon mate, will have to meet again once I get my 4 wheel alignment and braided hoses done.

No pics mate, was then getting dark! They're just like the tork bits you get but that is the head of the bolt!

Probably out tomorrow night Dan. If not in mine Lauren's got her black wheels and lowered tomorrow so will be looking PIMP ;)

I might come down again, nothing going on down here lol

You could try using a larger torx bit and tapping it in hter (you will destroy the torx bit though). I used that method for the silly torx bolts that hold the brake pipe to the suspesion strut bloody cheese eating surrender monkeys.

no larger...hang on are we talking about the same things??!!

Im on about the screws that have a torx (star) head in them...if you have rounded it then you use a larger one as there is no point using a smaller one :S
