MBP update will include the new Intel procs at a guess - hence the delay as Intel are having issues keeping up with demand for the chips.

Copy all your tunes over to iTunes on your Mac.

Then sync your iPhone with the Mac.

Not being harsh, but I never understand this, someone said the same thing on here the other day, and when people say it, they are always sad about it. But jesus, how hard is it to get an external hard drive and bung stuff on that before you format the poor wee thing!!!
