OK people so its finally all finished! I have buffed it all again today and put a really nice layer of autoglym super resin polish on. Theres one or two stickers I have made to be put on and also the rear number plate to be stuck on (new plain plates front and back). I also plan on painting the bullets white with red lettering and I need to source another 16" O.Z F1 wheel!

Anyway here she is, after ALOT of hard work. I have to say I even suprised myself with the finish, looks miles better in real life than in the pics too:

Wow i sat down and read this post page by page and what you have achieved is absolutely amazing, i love this generation clio in white and the black wheels make it stand out, also a great idea with the badges and colouring, this has made me want the RS Twingo in White now with the gloss black alloys

It certainly wouldn't put me off buying it knowing how much time, effort and money has gone into it, and I bet most enthusiasts would think the same.

Great work BTW Ben. You've made me want to restore my headlights now. I suppose that'll be a job for me to attempt next Saturday.
I still think you should do the wheels red with white text too. Or add a bit more red to them somehow.

Bens a proffesional sprayer so it's hardly a DIY job, I've actually seen the car in the flesh and his work is top notch and considerably better than the standard paint on my trophy (orange peel central).

Probably the fact that he's sprayed hundreds of cars, so it's hardlies likely to be a disaster is it.

If a proffesional car painter sprays his own car using professional spraying equipment is it really a DIY job? In my eyes it isn't but if you think it is then thats fine.

TBH Steve does have a point.
The difference is that most DIY jobs would be done by rank amateurs or people with little experience. If you do something as a profession then any DIY jobs you do are professional jobs by definition.

I'm offended by it being called a DIY job! Personnaly whether I did it myself or not i'm a painter by trade so stand me if I'm corrected but I would call it a professional job!?

Anyway, exhaust is next and some small detailing still to be done!

Thanks for the comment on the paint finish Stevie! It is literally like glass though, even if I do say so myself! Not one dent, scratch, chip, bit of orange peel on the WHOLE car! The job is better than Renault have done on any RS Clio
