cheers boys.

cost much to upgrade from 4300k to 6000k? is it just bulbs you change?

Not noticed anyone do this and I think I may do this at some point

how long do the 6000k bulbs last and how long do the 4300k bulbs last?

is it a bumper off job. in my old non sport id change bulbs and passanger side was so easy but air con pipes made it soooo hard on drivers side

they should last 5yrs no matter what the spec, me n da didnt take the bumper off n took us 10 mins max, just unclip the green wire that goes to the starter n then it twists clockwise or anticlockwise iirc, n then its just like changing any other bulb, they have wire thingys that hold the bulb in place iirc. easy peasy, minus tearing ur hands a bit lol.

I've got 6000k, and they're quite blue! I wouldn't want 8000k or anymore tbh.
I think 4300K is OEM, and brighter as it's whiter. But 6000k seems the best compromise.

I thought if you had proper projectors you could use higher k bulbs. Range rovers and new bmws/ mercs have extremly bright blue xenons as standard

stock xenon look quite white. u can spot clio sport xenons from a distance i think they look good but for some people they like to go one better.

Anyone got any link to some 6000k bulbs to replace the ones from my 05 reg RB 182. :)

:) Cheers

It's hard trying to get a pic of the light difference unless you have a very good camera. Most point and shoot/phone cameras just balance out the blue until it's white.

Changing side lights in the 182 was hard enough on drivers side. think the bumper and lights will be coming off when i get some new bulbs

i know that thats why i was annoyed being told my 4300k's were illegal

but 5000k gives the greatest advantage as we cant see ultra violet
