New Discs + pads all round

Just want to make sure I aint getting ripped off, basically a mate is doing new discs and pads all round for me and new rear bearings and is asking £330 all done...

Seems a lot to me but is bit difficult to pull the plug now, discs and pads were ordered earlier this week and he priced £240 they are delphi ones so not cheap rubbish, but now says new bearings and fitting gonna cost an extra £90.

This seem fair or very steep?

mmmm maybe a little bit on high side then. Would have been about on the money except for the bearings.

But suppose I dont have to tart about under the car for half a day,

Well I am new to Clio's, so not sure on how much stuff should cost.

Had Vauxhalls previously and I get a huge discount on parts from VX so never really paid reality prices for stuff, For example the pads on the VXR which have huge brakes cost me £28 from VX then he fitted them for £25, VX wanted £111 fitted.

I know the guy is cheap on tyres to £160 for 2 x Toyo T1R's 17" where I was getting quotes elsewhere of £200+. VX wanted to charge me £222 per tyre but that was conti's

£28 each bearing then he has to get them put in he said because he doesnt have the tools - so that extra £40 (i thought that bit was expensive)

I'd go for parts listed in post 2 as they'll be much better than Delphi and cheaper than mate is quoting.

Is a bit late to go elsewhere, as he has already ordered them and they been delivered as I told him to as he said it was £240 which was reasonable.

Then he phoned today saying about the extra for the bearings!

He's a good mate, so will just have to be careful next time I thinks. Will save that back when I get the 4 new tyres off him anyway.

these are what you need,

i paid 200 for my front and rear discs and front and rear pads all genuine
i did fit them myself though
