Engine Polishing

Thought I would have a go at polishing the engine, done about 30 mins work on it so far will upload a few more pics going through the stages, but so far, using a fine wire wool and auto glym metal polish and a fair amount of elbow grease, this is the result.

Not sure why this didnt come up, plans are to drop the engine out over easter holiday will polish and paint the lot

You'd be better off painting it instead, it's much quicker and the finish will last a lot longer.

that does look good painted, was planning on painting the top part black around the milled Renault sport badge, thought i put this in media rather than projects, can someone move it please

I like it painted myself looks so much cleaner and the finish lasts much longer than having it polished.

You will be there until the end of time my friend, course sandpaper and work up, get a buffing kit from screwfix and you will get it like this (was about 70% finished in this picture)
