Newbie with a track day project

Car  RB182 & Storm 200
Hi all, new to the site. Just got a 182 cup with my dad. Hes semi retired so its a project for me and him to take around Croft circuit.

Just wondered if anyone has any advice or comments. We have basic mechanical skills so brakes, struts, etc... can be done. Just wondered what parts people prefer....

(tried uploading pics but it just came up saying it had failed so will try again tomorrow)

get rid of aircon, get decent zorst, std airbox with panel filter, and decent coilies.

when was the timing belt and a good service done?

timing belt needs doing and so does a good service, but we have friends who race in the clio cup uk who will do it for us.

Is it not worth going for an induction kit? or a panel filters a better buy even with less bhp gains?

you wont see much gains from induction unless you go for jms inlet, or throttle bodies. induction kits soak up too much heat.

loving the colour. you need to change the wheels as ive been told 182 wheels give poor brake cooling.

a lot of people relocate the battery, but mines used as a daily runabout i wanted to try something different, got to tidy it ip a little more, put a door strip rubber over the top edge to help it seal and look a little better and get another silicone elbow, and wedge in some cold air feeds from under the car. what rims you going for? you selling your std alloys?

Im talking to PeteM at the mo for his [FONT=&quot]Tecnomagnesio sports in 16 x 7. will keep the std for the road.

Might just go for the panel for now. im looking for safety and handling before power gains
