What sells well on eBay?

Listed my very first item on eBay today, for some reason I expected it to be more complicated!

It's got me thinking now though, what else could I sell? What are the big sellers on eBay and what have people sold in the past that made them some decent cash?

As a business or just random stuff in your home? I have done both and if you are running it as a business it's really hard work, They seem to try and do everything to make it difficult. I sell all the leftover steel at our factory that used to get weighed in, I'm getting 10x what i would when i weighed it in.

No mate, just stuff lying around the house. I don't think the company I work for would appreciate me selling their stock lol.

Old phones go very well, consoles / games etc , Car parts, Tools etc , People pay silly money for old tat that you would usually bin, I only sell steel because i get given it from my dad who owns the company, I'm not pinching it ;)

Stuffs thats hard to come by i guess, i bought a pair of old mini cooper s fuel tanks from an old boy who had them laying around in his garage and payed him 60 quid for them.
One had a dent in the top which i repaired and painted.
I fitted them into my mini and used them for a few years then when i changed my plans and decided to sell them for a center alloy fuel tank they made 400 quid and went to Italy.

Happy days.....:D

Anything thats in high demand or rare.

A standard mint condition 5 gt turbo gear knob can make over £100

Anything that is difficult to find! Good example being the 5 gt turbo gear knob..

Just make sure the listing is detailed and clear, otherwise people will steer well clear...

Used panties

My mate sells his wifes old smelly shoes, used pants etc (his wife has amazing feet, but I digress) and gets good money!!

There are some proper proper strange people on there. Freaks.

I sold 3 empty McCoys crisp packets that had buy get 1 get 1 curry free vouchers on once....sold for nearly £1.50...would've been cheaper for the buyer to actually buy the crisps from a shop. At least they could've eaten the crisps too.

It's a strange world.
