I have a Janspeed and when I got the car it had a decat, Fitted a renault cat, (to get through mot) and left it on a few weeks got a whistling at 2.75 - 7k revs that would be there all the time, (but if you revved it when stationary - nothing) got a genuine renault cat fitting kit - no change - Thought sod it put the catback pipe back on - Fixed... I could be wrong but I think the cat might interfere somehow with aftermarket exhausts (or certainly Janspeed exhausts)?

It's common for it to blow at the cat back join. Just needs sealing with high temp silicone.
