My subframe and wishbones took a battering, I had bits of concrete stuck to my wishbones lol.

  Bora.
Your hoping for fitment like that without air? You've got not chance of being that low and drivable on Joms. The frame must be about 1cm off the ground in that pic and so it'd be a nightmare without adjustable damping.

Also, looks like you have quite a low offset?

the bora in the picture has a 4motion front splitter and .:R side skirts which makes it look alot lower than it is, should have around 3cm subframe clearance.

This is aruns bora, running JOM coilovers, 25mm engine spacers and a chassis notch ..

So the lows I want are easily achieved :)

Lol I had a 4 mo splitter other than looks its really no lower. Those front wheels must be narrow to tuck like that. Oh and I ran joms with no rear adjusters and it was know here near that low? lol! It certainly wont be easy. Plus arent teledials 17's?

i don't want to sound like I'm getting at you as I'm not. I'd just be very supprised. I have alot of friends running the MK4 chassis and chasing lows. Including myself at one point.

I'd say there was a bit of custom work/chopping for it to run that low on JOMs.

Well I guess I won't have as much clearance as I thought, still that's the price to pay for wanting a car to be so low, they aren't teledials on the bora above, they are 18" Autostrada Monzas, so what has your mate done to get his bora sitting like that?

I couldn't be arsed with all that aggro for lowering a car.

Chassis notching, smashing sumps, engine spacers.... What a ball ache!

Fair play to those dedicated enough to do it though.

I love how it looks but around my way its just not possible to run a really low car..

  Bora.
It's probably not going to be the best idea for the roads around my area either, but I will run it and see how things go, I have a speedbump into my estate I will need to tackle daily.

I'm just amazed that people do all this just to lower their car. Absolutely pointless. Most of them just look sh*t and broken anyway. Sensible arch gap reduction looks much better than slammed onto the floor.

One day you will own a proper car that you can enjoy driving, look back and think "what a stupid scene idiot I was with a car that was shite to drive and very few of the general public are actually impressed by"

Seriously, think before WASTING your hard earned!

  Turbos.
Of course you do. It is a fashion thing; you are doing something hundreds of others have done in the exact same style!

Don't get me wrong, i really like the look, but totally agree with what people are saying. Who can be arsed living with a car like that 24/7? You can't go anywhere, it's not good to drive, and it money you can put towards a better/faster car. We've all done it...but i'm sure we all regret it too!

This x 1 million!

I once spent every penny of my hard earned on a Saxo VTR for over 3 years, was around £15,000 when i add it up... Sold it for £5000 at the end of it all lmao.... Could have had a new Clio v6 if I'd used my head :(

We all do it, I spent a house deposit modifying my 1st car. Loved it at the time, but looking back it was very stupid to do it.

I dont actually regret doing it, cause it was what I wanted to do at the time. However, I am fully aware of the fact that if I spent the money I spent doing it up, on moving out with my now ex, we would probably still be together, which would mean Id be a hell of alot happier than I Am now, but its dont isn't it.

Just dont spend crazy money! lol

Nice, but. Eh.

I think you could've spent time de-bump striping the doors and colour coding the bumpers and door handles; too me slapping a set of wheels on a car isn't great lol. Looks nice, I'm not saying it doesn't but your clio for example was a bit more special. I can't really jump on the your spending to much on a car like that bandwagon as I'm spending ludacris amounts of money on my project mini.

Like boras and the stance but never been a fan of those wheels sorry.
As long as you like it that's all that matter though IMO

Door Strips.. leave holes when removed, so they wont be took off, and i like the "poverty Spec" look the car has, you always see boras fully colour coded, more than you do with black moldings, theres more details to the car than just wheels, US spec front bumper strip with side markers, all doors have been de-locked also, theres more been done to get the car low than there has been exterior wise.

Noah is so wrong. Plastic rub strips are the way forward. Miss how my old green bora looked!

You just need to lower it now.
