Yup, my 182 makes small knock/pop noise when coming off the accelerator at low speeds, but only makes a single noise each time - will speak with Renault Cambridge when I get a moment...

Cool, understood. Nice one on the suggestion of lining the covers; and will see what the dealer has to say too...

Does anyone else have rattling speaker covers in the rear of their 182s? On vol 18+ its really annoying... Am gonna chase this up with my Renault dealer to see if they can remedy things under warrentee, but dont really know what can be done if its just a design fault. Any suggestions welcome!

yup, mine had the "intermittent 3 beep" feature too! reno cambridge fixed it under warrenty, with no quibbles... apparently, some wire had welded itself to something inside the engine bay, thus upsetting the electricals!! gulp.

Sell privately if you can, youll loose soooo much cash if you trade/sell to a dealer as they need to make their margins! I know its a faff, but really worth it IMO. £10,000 seems a really good price. Mines in exactly the same condition you describe and id be sorry to see it go for much less...

No regrets at all. (Pretty) good service from dealer and bought at a reasonable price from one. Reliable motoring so far. Plenty of positive comments from everyone who sees the car or is a passenger. No undesireable attention either! Very enjoyable to drive - either tootling around, or...

^^^ yup, thats what i do ^^^ ...and has worked just fine for me so far! However, reading here, some folks gave me the impression that a polish may be a bit harsh on the paint and so shouldnt be used again (and again, and again, and again) without waxing inbetween. E.g. wax, wax, wax, wax...

Tangents (almost) on this topic... I feel the "ABS self-check" through the accelerator pedal when first pulling off (wahey!) in the 182, but apparently this is entirely normal. Its a small single vibration, then doesnt happen again until next start the car up:)

Mine had two whistles, one from the driver-side mirror (fixed yesterday under warantee) and then when pulling hard a reasonable speed - but I reckon this is just induction or something and Im not overly concerned as it sounds kinda "cool". Glad to hear others have found the same!
