First issue i had when i took it to a car wash and left engine running whilst the rollers went round, after then a mesage popped up saying check igntion and the turbo didnt kick in...

Yeah best way is to dp a full swap, although finding a custom fit manifold for turbo might be where costs come in, but the mk2 ph1 is surely lighter than the twingo, so wouldnt mpg be increased? (excluding hammering it)
i've been considering this for quite some time, although mine been a 8v, would have to convert to 16v. You can buy the twingo engines with about 40k for £400-600 w/o turbo. They are only small so cheap to pick up. You would be looking under £800 conversion. Although alot of people will outline...
Oh and if you end up painting it, dont use halfords paint! worst colour match and quality, find a paint specialist around you that will make you a aerosol to match your paint code. Be sure to get their primer and 2k laquer, may cost tad bit more, but end result will be loads better. Round my end...
once down to plastic, use about 2/3 coats of primer, sanding between each one, use 600-1200 going up each coat. paint apply 2/3 coats using 1200-2000. use a high grade paper after last coat of paint and sand until dull. Apply laquer, 2k laquer would work fine, will last you a while before it...
the top rubber mount is the bolt, once the strut is popped through the whole in the engine bay, you then screw the rubber mount on, you saying yours has slipped through? or it just not been done right in the first place lol
Did you get the clocks to go with the engine or you wanting to use your own? I think with changing to ph2 would be a little complex, guess it just depends on your knowlege understanding.
If your removing the a/c then officially you would need to pay for it to be de gased. Just be careful if not!
Your also going to need to change the sub frame, drive shafts, hubs, suspension struts, if your taking that off you may aswell replace anti roll bars.
Whilst engine is off, do some work on it like, oil change, sparks, cambelt maybe consider water pump if never changed.
Im breaking my 172 if...
Yeah I Figuired someone was gonna say swap the entire engine, was thinking more to add on to mine to match the spec's. I have a spare 182 engine I could stick in mine if I really wanted, as mentioned, wanna make it more fun :p something different is my aim.
I know everyone is gonna suggest more...
