The weather is looking decent next Friday as it stands so hopefully it’s holds out over the full weekend.

What’s the plan for camping, just arrive and pitch up wherever or is there a best spot to aim for where everybody will be?

I’ve not pitched the tent I have borrowed before so that will be fun to work out 😒IMG_2599.jpeg

It's all sectioned off mate. There's an admin/moderator section where there is hard standing for the pop up 10 man tent, butlers who bring out caviar and champagne with a speaker for white noise and whale song.

Next to that is the regular member section where the soil is painted green to look like grass and it's situated next to the pop up bar for supply of guinness and carling.

Your spots next to the toilets by the gate.

😘

I’ll listen out for your dump valve dick when I need some pressure in my tyres then 👍

Shook down the 172 cup and everything felt lovely aside from one small snag…

I don’t suppose anyone has a genuine Renault passenger side driveshaft for a 172 cup close to wales that they’d like to part ways with? 🤦‍♂️
I’ve also go a passenger side drive shaft that came out of my Ph1 172 you are welcome to have. It might have a small knick in the CV gaiter that I glued up to get it to pass an MoT test so it might have some wear in the CV joint but might be a good back up? I can’t remember why I replaced it! I’m in north Wales so no helpful if you are down south. But can bring it with me on the day.

Does anybody know if I could potentially leave my trailer and car at the track on Sunday and collect it on the Monday?

As it’s my birthday weekend I’m thinking of having a day out round Anglesey on the Sunday and then booking a hotel nearby for the night but don’t really want to turn up with my trailer.

You’d really need to contact the circuit to ask that one.

My Cayman is kaput (for now) and not up to anything for the foreseeable future.

Instead my mate is bringing his FK8 Type R for me to abuse.

So I need to change the car I've registered for the day and add an additional driver.

Can I do that ahead of the weekend or should I sort it when I rock up Friday evening/Saturday morning?

Nooooooo! Gutted! But mostly because a Type R is certainly no befitting gentleman’s club specification

Shouldn't be a problem, I had to leave mine there once and come back for it a few days later.

Said the gates were open most days, but worth checking.

I'm happy to report that the Porker was returned to me today and it's ready for CSF duties.

Is anybody driving up through Wales on the Friday? I'll be leaving south Wales (late morning, leaving from north Newport/Pontypool area) and taking a steady drive up.

Also, does anybody use Millers CFS 10W60 fully synth oil? I have 5 litres of the stuff sitting here unopened. I will happily bring it with me. If nobody wants it, it will be thrown away as I expect it will soon reach the end of its shelf life.

Cheers!

We will be Andy in my povo spec Cayman (my lads coming with me this year) I’d planned on hacking across mid wales, I live just off the end of the M50 (M5 side)

Absolutely buzzing for this chaps!

I know it was mentioned previously in here but I cant find it now.

Anyone have any half decent videos of both layouts? I should probably start learning the track before I end up in the sea

I watched markcups to be fair and I think I know which direction to go in now.

Changing layout half way through the day is not something I’ve done before so that will be interesting…..

Basically if you follow the road that will be fine

As my saying goes - my first tips free the next one has a fee

Could meet you somewhere on the way up. @RustyMojo will be heading up one way or another so we could all tie in somewhere.

If no-one has already said they'll take it, I believe that's what I use in the M3 and have a service due next month. I'll check later on and let you know Andy.

Sound no worries mate. I’ll have a look at routes over the weekend I think

Due to us having to submit lists of runners and riders to the circuit early next week, the deadline for track booking refunds will be at the close of play on Monday 22nd July.

Track bookings are non transferable so please let us know ASAP via PM if you are unable to make the event.

Can any of the Welsh lads recommend some places to visit on my drive up through Wales? I’ll probably be coming in from Hereford.

A nice scenic drive and some lakes and nice scenery would be great. Will have most of the day to drive up so will have plenty of time,
Head up towards Llangadfan and take the B4395 north and then the B4393 to Lake Vyr way. You can do a full lap if the lake and theres a couple of places to stop for a breather. Then head up towards Bala on your way to Anglesey.
