from what I can find the early euro 5 200 and 220 had different turbos and intakes but the euro 6 200 and 220 were the same. (euro 5 to 6 switch was mid 2015)
He certainly is ☺️Ed’s a good elf isn’t he 😊
Steering wheel and rear LED lights finally fitted! After having a friend make the loom adapters I had the Clio booked in again with ELF Automotive to do both jobs.
Swapping the light units over on both the car and tailgate is one thing but you need the adapters as the original loom connectors are different, you also have to run 2 wires from the light loom behind the carpet on the passenger side of the boot into the tailgate to connect to the tailgate lights. This means unclipping interior parts, the back of the headlining and tailgate plastic. As well as loom splicing this was something I didn't want to get involved in 😁
A couple of hours later and we have a back end with updated rear lights and a steering wheel I won't cry at every time I get into the car.

It is indeed, a nice thing to have and something I didn't know was in the car when it was up for sale. I do have RS Monitor as well but yes at least with the Scangauge I can read the coolant temp amongst a few other things.Top notch. Is that a scangauge by the gear stick? Do you not have rs monitor? Madness they don't have a coolant temp display on them.

Android Auto is next on the to do listGood idea. As I can only have either android auto or rs monitor on at the same time.
The clio has been a useful backup a couple of times since the new year as the work car needed repairing. First time off the road for 3 weeks with a fuel problem and a month ago the timing belt snapped so now terminal.
I've just arranged to buy my brother's Mk5 Golf diesel they've owned for 12 years so the Clio can go back to a weekend car. It's done ok, 250 miles a week averaging 34mpg. It's been fun wedging a bike in the back in between a boot full of tools. Once it's off daily duties I'll book it back in with ELF Automotive for a health check and service.

MOT time again, I had 3L of ELF oil already so i ordered another 5L of ELF from Opie Oils on eBay. I almost ordered from their website but they were asking £6.95 postage with FedEx whereas the oil was £1 more on eBay but free postage. Sidenote it's nice to keep using the ELF oil especially as it's running the hybrid turbo and has been for years. Renault now use Castrol but I'm glad there's an outlet that still sell ELF.
Everything I do service wise is main dealer so a new oil filter, sump washer and pollen filter. Again Ed of ELF Automotive did the service and sorted the MOT in which it passed with no advisories. Saying that it was noted the front drivers wheel bearing was verbally mentioned so again I'll be ordering a new one from Renault. He also fitted the plastic trim that was missing from the 220 LED rear light, again a genuine Renault part, he also replaced a clip that was missing on the plastic trim that sits at the bottom of the windscreen in each corner. This was noticed when I had the wiper linkage swapped out so again i purchased 4 clips from Renault just to make sure months ago.
So another year on the road, she only did 4.5k last year. And booked back in with Ed 9th August to have the wheel bearing done.

So am I mate, big time 😔I’m gutted your not coming to CSF mate 🙁
Toomey indeed, I've been going to Renault in Southend as far back as when they were next to Priory Park as Lookers. Actually scrub that as I took my R5 GT Turbo to Renault in Hadleigh back in late 1998 to have a new clutch fitted. We agreed a price, picked it up and on the way to Lakeside it nearly caught fire as the turbo heat shield was smoking on the turbo 😅Nice one. This Toomey? They can be bellends but I was actually treated alright by Vauxhall last time I went in there. YMMV obviously!
Cheers mate, indeed it's been far too long! I need to use it more often and a decent catch up for breakfast with a run out sounds ideal.Looks mega in that photo mate.Need to meet up soon for breakfast/lunch etc.
It's where it's had all its mapping done throughout the years. 2 iterations of turbos, different diameter exhausts, different inlets, different induction kits. All to find the right ingredients to make what's it's doing now.456 miles for a rolling road is commitment! nice numbers, totally reliable?
