Always been interested in getting my hands on clip.
Near on impossible to get genuine hardware down here. I'm assuming you need a laptop with windows XP along with software and hardware interface?
I've seen plenty of listings on Temu/Alibaba etc for the hardware. Do these work?

Aye I purchased a good used laptop for £36 delivered off ebay. Runs really well with good battery.

Hardware is a used chinnese rip off with cracked software. £55 delivered.

Much cheaper outlay than RStuner but does require more than braincell to setup and use.

Sweet. Thanks for that.
May look into this.
Even if it's cracked. Do you still need the genuine reg key?

I haven't really dived deep into the rstuner (which I have on hand).
Im assuming that does most things that clip does?

Pros and cons to both. In all honesty i wanted the cheapest solution to sorting airbags.

Decided to jack the car up and check for any issues now it has done 100 miles.

Little surprised to see both drive shafts outer boots twisted and split. They aren't that old and covered minimal miles. Grease f**king everywhere.

OS has a some play in the joint so decided to lump it and fit a new set. I’ll keep the removed set for a rebuild at a later date.

Good start upon opening box 😏😂 good job i have some spares stashed away.

Took my time fitting so boots didn’t get damaged.

Slight weep coming from between box and engine so will recheck in a few months.

Next job to sort is the handling. Although very good it’s not a patch on the 172 cup i refreshed earlier in the year.

Rolls a bit too much pushing on and not as sharp.

All bushes/arms/shocks have been replaced within last few years. My old Cup had Konis/solid topmounts/camber bolts/purple arb bushes so naturally it would do.

Shame Konis aren’t available so probably will be looking at B14s. Will keep an eye on prices over Xmas.

Steering wheel size is pissing me right off so a decent 330mm replacement will be replacing it shortly.
