Always pre wash especially if it's not been cleaned for a while.

If you have a foam lance touchless is very good. Can be used equally in a pump sprayer.

I'm personally not a fan of using an apc.

Got snow foam but washed the worst away today so already done any damage either way. Cars white though so a bit forgiving, just need to get rid of the obvious black tar all over the bloody thing!

I’ve tried a few pre washes and apc’s in lances and pump sprayers.

Duel pre wash is actually really decent. Pol star by Koch chemie is really good, can be diluted right down and still really effective.

Touchless is epic yep

Pol as a pre wash, you sure ha ha?.

I use the very strong Autosmart tfr in work, just have to be careful not to leave it dry or sit on trim (silver)

A safe bet for me is touchless.

Had good results with it but it’s diluted right down. You do need to be careful though with most of these products as they can dull paintwork/trim if left too long

Pol is for interiors though or at least that's what I have always tried it on?

Koch VB or Green star is more suited as pre wash.

Supposed to be good, I haven't tried it.

Would recommend Tardis from Autosmart or Autoglym Intensive Tar.

I’d recommend getting in touch with your local autosmart rep. Mine does the stuff so cheap. I think I’m getting 5l of tardis for £25

Trim dressings, we have an MG4 and a Tesla Model Y both of which have decent chunks of plastic trim externally.

Id rather not go down the route of ceramic coatings just yet, plan is to get them both booked in later this year for a professional detail and ceramic coatings.

For now Im just after something to keep ontop of them until it's done properly. What products are decent?

have the plastics gone grey already? I wouldn’t have thought you’d need c4 yet. I’ve only ever used it on 12+ year old cars where the plastics look terrible

I need to take my front number plate off and put a stick on one.

The last plate was drilled on, what's the best way to smooth out the holes? Luckily I don't think they go past the width of the plate. Hard to tell at the moment as the current plate is stuck on.

Are you not bothered about the state of the fix underneath where the plate will be? I’d just use some sort of filler if you don’t mind it looking a bit s**t. Or just fire the plate on and see, I think it would probably look completely fine unless the holes are really wide

Best interior shampoo and brush?

I've got to clean a car that's gotten a bit damp over winter and a touch mouldy....also smells awful now because of it

Be using an extractor or a wet vac? If so you’ll be fine with an interior safe product, spray on scrub and if it’s damp use the extractor to get out as much wetness as possible

I think I used the turtle wax one? You basically run the car with the ac going and leave it in there. It’s an aerosol so just open it and let it do its thing, the smell is a bit intense but it did take away a dog smell in a car I did
