Any advice on setting the damper settings on BC coilovers please?.going to go out for an early drive tomorrow and have a play with trying to set them up for road use.
I have been reading up on some suspension set up companies which say for FWD is to have the front soft/med with the rear more firm than the front?.But then others say have the rear more soft?.this is to give the front more grip
Do you think its also best to start from the bottom setting of soft then go up 3/4 clicks each time until you find whats best for you or start half setting which is 15 clicks front and rear then go from there.

While stiff dampers improve steering response, "fast road" driving requires the suspension to absorb bumps, potholes, and changing surfaces to keep the tires in contact with the ground for maximum grip."

Looking for a set of Silver Turinis please.Could possibly do a deal/swap with my Silver 2118s on AD08RS tyres with good tread.
Still think the Turinis look best on my clio.

For a road car I'd have it a little soft on the rear and medium on the front, these cars are not heavy enough imo when firm, makes them bounce about when they hit bumps etc.
I've got bilstein b14 and they are a little soft, but to me it works fine on road, little soft for the track though on the front, many coilovers are horrendous at dealing with uk roads.

Yeah B14 are well suited just for road use.Hard to find a bit of road where theres no pot holes or a car doing 30 😆

I'm having the same issue with mine atm. Currently 10 clicks from soft all around as I was hoping it would help with the bumpy roads near work but it feels s**t. I'm beginning to think I should have just bought bilsteins instead as they were great on my 182. I'm debating swapping or sending it somewhere decent for a proper set up.

The main thing with coilovers with a threaded bottom bracket is getting them set up properly. 90% of people use the bottom bracket to set the ride height which is the wrong way to do it.
That's a quick explanation of how to do it right.. once you've got the damper stroke set up properly and the ride height where you want it then start playing with the click adjusters

Bc's are s**t for road use sadly. The adjusters dont do much, its either soft or hard. Cooksport showed me one on a damper dyno and the rebound done nothing for a few clicks. I actually hated the set of bc's i put on my old 250 cup.
I also rate the bilstein b14 for road use. Plenty firm enough, nowt to adjust. Stick them on and forget.

I've had clients that are BC Racing authorised dealers, and they consistently tell people to avoid BCs lol. The only people I've seen having positive experiences from my time with Hondas are the people who are having custom BC-supplied stuff sent to them as a sponsorship, not their off-the-shelf stuff.

Thats what i will do once i have the refurb beam on,i will get Alex to do alignment and corner weigh it.Then if still not great back to the B14s,i think just went with BC as they have a great choice with changing springs,parts etc.But then i like the B14s and put on and forget.

Yep i cant fault the last set of B14s i had,why did i go for BC this time 😆
Only thing is having to pay out for a new set of B14s before i sell the BCs.Also i think having solid top mounts dont help on a road car.With the BCs you have to spend about £150 to convert them back to normal top mount set up,where as the B14s you dont,you can easily just swap back and fourth.

Next Chapter on the suspension,converting the BC front coilovers from Solid mounts to oe mount set up.Only had to wait 3 weeks from BC just for these parts.With New Febi mounts and bearings.

Fitted the oe mount conversion on the coilovers and have to say such a better drive now,no more crashy drive.Will give it a proper shake down tomorrow and have a drive out,also maybe adjust the height but will see whats its like tomorrow.Sits a bit lower now

I cant say i cant tell any difference driving with the 2118s and when i had my lightweight evo wheels.I think only counts if its a proper track/race car.
