the central locking doesnt do anything off the key but it does lock and un-lock from the button on the dash and no ive had it a while, never done this before... and ive just been out and it locked as soon as i got to it.... bloody renaults! i think its an intermittant kinda thing :(

hi guys, little problem... i have a 2001 (51) clio mk2 phase 2 1.2 16v and it just wont lock! it has a brand new battery in the key, the key flashes and the car starts and runs nicely, i tried looking around the interior light to try finding the receiver for the signal but it appears its not...

yeah it does but the locks just turn and turn, just wont unlock so the fob is my only hope

Yes mate, had a new battery in the key about a month ago, shouldn`t die that fast should it?

hi guys, When i try to unlock my clio, it really doesn`t want to unlock, sometimes takes 5-10 mins of pressing the button on my key to finally unlock the car, gotta be touching the window with the key... but when i get out it locks first press of the key :S any one got any ideas on what this...

Do you think its definately the rings that is the problem? i think i have the 44 tooth rings? and im told there are also rings with 26 teeth, will the shafts with less teeth on the rings lower the speed to the correct speed?

hi guys, a couple of weeks ago my timing belt went bang, i have replaced the engine with a new 1 and given it a full service,BUT, when i turn the key to start, it turns over but after a few turns the engine managment light kicks in and then stops turning over, all sensors appear to be plugged in...

ive got the same car + colour, im hal;f way through going black and orange at the moment, not sure its working properly though :o

head gasket was on the way out anyway, plus the engines done 97k so just easier to put new engine in and save me lots of time lol

not sure wen it was last changed, i only got the ar a few weeks ago and was actually planning on doing the belt this week as it had done just under 97k, but change of plan now lol :(

Well, driving to get new exhaust fitted today then all of a sudden, boom! My timing belt has decided to die! looks like exhaust is on hold for few weeks now :(

i was driving to work the other day and all of a sudden when i go over a bump, there is a slight "chinking" kinda noise from around the drivers side front wheel, also makes this noise when i kick the wheel, and when going over bumps and the "chink" appears, my spedo drops and jumps up and down...

iv had history with viper stripes mate, nasty thing :( pulled all the paint off my bonnet lol ive been told use a heat gun/hairdrier wo heat the stripes before pulling them off and it should be ok :)

they are the ones that cover the panel infront of the rear arches and its just a 1.2 16v that they will be going on.. im in blackburn not far from manchester mate, any chance of pics? n wot kinda price r we talkin? :)
