Not if there is the piece of timber fixed to the underside of the carpet to bridge the well, as there should be. Mine has it and does'nt sag (yours did'nt IIRC)
In your opinion.
Negligible advantages? What shite.
Which is more fun and exciting to drive? What do I care most about?
How about not having those awful 5 spokes? ;)
I've tried Black Circles - too expensive.
Rollo - I need 195/45/16 (standard fitment for 172 Cup, don't want to change size)
Don't want Conti's either. Had them on the car when I bought it. Wet grip dropped away dramatically once they got worn (wheel spin in 4th on DC anyone?). The PE2s' I...
Need a couple of new fronts. Last time a local tyre fitter price matched Mytyres. However when I went to do the same this time Mytyres did'nt seem to have any Michelins listed at all :S
Just to close this out:
I've gone with Chrissknott. Happy with my new premium :D Very competitive compared to everyone else I tried.
Adrian Flux was a close second and MCE may be worth a try for anyone else in the same boat in the future.
I've just gone with Chrissknott. 25yrs old, 2yr NCB, all mods declared (sports cat, cat back exhaust) - less than your renewal quote! :)
Give them a go. Adrian Flux was my second best.
Agree with that. Maybe not so much the mechanical robustness (mine has'nt broken yet!). But definately enjoyment. Main problem I have with mine is it catches sometimes dropping from 5th to 4th when pressing on, which is not ideal with a corner approaching!!
Rest of the car is great fun though :D
Just got an online quote from Adrian Flux which is pretty much bang on what I was expecting to be paying. Won't feel like I'm getting bent over so much with them!
Still going to shop around some more though.
Any suggestions chaps?
Stats - 25year old driver, 2yrs NCB, sports cat and exhaust
Currently with Elephant, premium decreased a bit but not as much as I hoped considering I've turned 25 and have another years NCB.
Also I'm going to upgrade the brakes soon at next service (Brembo discs...
Filming leaving/arriving at your house is not the best idea (if that was your road?). I've heard a story of a biker being traced by Police after he filmed all the way home.
Not that I saw anything questionable in that vid ;)
I did'nt watch it all though, connection kept playing up.
Must...
I don't have back seat passengers very often, but when I do it is almost guaranteed to cause this problem  Fortunately it is relatively easy to fix by reaching under and waggling the wires, so I'm not too worried about a permanent fix.
I imagine it would be quite easy to fix. Theres only...
Any more views?
Wheres the best place to get a new battery? Anything I need to look out for? Good brands? (these may be stupid questions but I've never bought one before!)
Forgive me if this has been asked and answered before, did a brief search to no avail.
Last Sunday my car (52 plate Cup) struggled to start from cold (it was very cold mind! thick frost and -7 according to the cars thermometer.) Was it just the extreme cold that temporarily killed the battery...
I've noticed that before too. Can never tell if its in my head or not though!
On the way home from a weekend hooning in Wales last year (probably the longest period of hard driving its ever had) it absolutely flew in 4th gear, mid range felt great.
Theres a fairly regular meet at the Shire Horse pub on the A4. Usually a week day evening. Check the Local Meets section for details. Theres a few Cups around Reading way ;)
I've got this s**t all over my front wheels. Its getting progressively worse too. The brush I have seems to do sod all, can get more off rubbing it with my finger!
Does this 'Renault Wheels cleaner' recommended by Yoz get the Rich seal of approval? If so I'll give it a go :) Get it from a...
Would'nt say that was true. Mine will lock the left front quite readily in the wet, especially if I hit a surface change or bump. And will give a little chirrup in the dry occasionally. Keeps things interesting though!
