Think the car turned itself when he lifted off the power. Why the hell would anyone try to turn at 183mph on a straight runway?!
So lucky he scrubbed off most of the speed before hitting the grass. Love the look on his face when he got back in! :D
Yes.
And I thought you did need to jack the car before using tyre foam. (At least someone told me I did when I suggested ditching the jack to save weight!) Does kinda make sense; as how is the foam going to fill the bottom of the tyre where it is compressed by the weight of the car? (I assume...
I think you should aim to have as little fuel as possible in the tank, over inflate the tyres so they don't flat spot, dis-connect battery, park in gear rather than handbrake.
Whats so funny about suggesting he could of got something more wild?
An R26 is a hot hatch which by their very nature are a nice compromise between performance and practicality, because they are based on a more mundane model. That way you can use them everyday no probs. If your going to have...
I agree up to a point. But say you do lots of short journeys (say <5 miles) or have to park in dent-fest car parks its much better to have a second car to save excessive wear and tear on your £100k Ferrari. Let the something you don't care about do the donkey work.
Thats why I'll keep my Clio...
It is the wiring under the front passenger seat. Reach under and give it a waggle.
Mine comes on virtually every time it gets moved to let people in the back
Me too.
As much as I love my Clio can't really see how you could justify storing it as a second car. Its not exactly impractical or expensive to run so worth saving just for the weekend etc.
Thats the main reason I started the thread :D
Cheers for the responses guys. I might try and glue it together again first. Or maybe just leave it as is; it'll match the steering wheel!
Get a real one without; it'll slow you down ;)
If its just a fun car (second car I assume) I'd get a 172 Cup simply as its cheaper*. The only reason you're considering a 182 appears to be ABS (correct?); seems a bit odd IMHO.
*Insurance might put a spanner in the works there
Cheers Ollie. That seems like a logical explanation. If its the original battery it'll be over 5 years old.
Its not a major problem so I'm not too fussed. But I will replace the battery first before trying anything else.
It does'nt happen straight after starting up though (if thats what you mean?). Rather shortly after I've pulled away. You say "dying battery syndrome" - you mean my battery is getting too old or just temporarily over-loaded?
Every now and again my dash switches off for a second when I'm driving along. It usually does it just after I've started up and have driven for a 10 seconds or so. All the lights turn off and the gauges die too, then it lights up like I've just turned the ignition and goes back to normal...
Well the car I saw did'nt so I guess it was you. Probably? :S
(Your car looked just like MSA's right down to the CS sticker position, but without his 'MSA' private plate)
Did you catch up a blue 172 Cup on the A33 going into town?
Do you mean you now don't have a fuel rail guard fitted? Is that not a bit dodgy in the event of a front impact, I thought it was there to stop fuel getting sprayed everywhere.
Fraser - are you sure the noise is coming from the engine bay? or from underneath i.e. the exhaust, in which case it...
