I got my new door speakers today. Im a complete novice to this so I need some help please!
Going into the standard speaker is an adapter type thing, with two wires, one pink I think (its dark!) and the other white.
My new door speakers have a large spade connecter (plain coloured wire), and a...
Ive seen lots of people who have mounted their amps on the back of their rear seats on some kind of box (covered with the same carpet as the boot). Can you buy these or do you have to have them especially made? Because that way of mounting an amp hardly takes up any room at all, and all the...
They guy in the shop phoned up the supplier of all the adapters and they said that there wasnt one for a pioneer headunit for a 2003 clio! I got that in all the car audio shops where I live as well! Oh well
I had loadsa trouble getting a new headunit for my mk2 clio cos i wanted to keep my stalk controls too (once youve had them you dont wanna go back!). I tried about 4 places and they all said that nobody has brought one out yet cos the cars too new. Connects2 do an adapter thats less than £30 but...
Hey everybody!
In my clio there are tweeters in the dash, so I guess it would be pretty easy as long as I can get the dash off, to upgrade to components. I dont plan to amp them up, so I was wondering if the sound quality will be just as good with a set of fullrange speakers in the doors?
Yeh, but when you fit the adpater, do the steering wheel contols function the same as they do with the standard headunit? I guess the volume buttons will work, but I dont know if the jog wheel and source buttons will still work as well?
Yeh, modulator changers are completely legal cos they sell them everywhere! That still doesnt mean you should get one! The sound quality is nothing like you would get from one that you can wire into your head unit.
The only advantage I can see from a modulator is that you can have a 10 or a 12...
I know this is such a massive topic on here and Im sure people will go mad when I mention it again! I have searched through loads of old topics but I cant find anyone thats said it.
When you change your head unit and get an adapter for the steering wheel controls, does everything (the track...
I wish I could get mine done for those sort of prices! I want my car fully colour coded and the cheapest price Ive got is £450! I havent asked my renualt dealer yet though, I was kinda putting it off!
I wanna buy a phone kit for my car.
What are the cheap ones that plug into the cig lighter you see on ebay like? Ive also seen these gadgets that slip onto the phone and then you can tune in the frequency on your radio and use the car speakers to listen to the person on the phone.
Id be...
Reading is no where near where I live! Shame cos the work looks really good. The pricese Ive been quoted locally are all over £500 which I think is a bit on the dear side.
I didnt buy anything more powerful because the cheapest insurance quote I got on a 1.4l was well over £2000 (I dont have any no claims). I never wanted to go hardcore by upgrading cams or stuff like that. I just wondered if there was anything I could do to boost the power a bit. I know now there...
Hi rik_trendell, Id be willing to swop my standard lights for lexus style ones. The only prob is changing them over, one of us would be without lights for a day at least.
Ive got a 1.2 16V and I do a lot of motorway miles. Whats the easiest way to get a bit more power without voiding the warrenty? I was considering a new exhuast system, but I dont know how much louder it would make the car (especially on the motorway).
