I didn't say anything about not declaring them, for god sake im in work for the industry! Your telling me things i already know but are a little bit wrong.
What an extra £400 quid to change the susp, it doesnt increase top speed performance, all the cup does is increase the payout, therefore...
Ok, but when insurers are pricing you on the car they look at the car grouping and the year it was made. The ABI decieded that adding packs to the meg and clio should not change the the car grouping. Therefore, there shouldn't be a change in premium as there is no added risk!
The insurance should have fixed it to roadworthyness for you. It's the whole point of insurance, to put you back in same position as you were before a loss. There must be more to the story.
If you mod your car there is more risk for the insurer. If you tell the company the meg 225 is a cup pack then they should know what it is with out you explaining it, it has the same car grouping as the meg without cup pack, therefore, no additional charge.
They may think that the pack is...
Every company has different rates, the ones most likely to insure younger drivers on policies would be Admiral, Bell and Elephant as they are all under the same underwriter.
Most general insurers have certain questions they ask to make sure you can't be put on e.g. "Does the additional driver...
Sounds about right. Claims investigators will to strange lengths to ensure that nothing is missing. They have targets to meet as well not just the sales and service departments. But if this person feels they have been treated unfairly, i tell everyone this i know but, the FSA will take the...
If they said the will honor the mistake it is down to them. They may want to keep your businness and offer a years NCB to keep you. But if it's been recorded on your file that you've called to contest the amount of years NCB given and they've said keep em then it's their responsability.
£95? Is that administration charges? If they said that her student discount would be fine even though she is due to graduate and then changed their mind....they have to honor what they said originally, otherwise it's a serious FSA breach.
Thats why i said £400-£600, not under £400. I've found that the Birmingham postcode has been lowered as a risk area as well as london. Although, place in the northwest like bolton and Newcastle seem to have gone up. The madness of insurance.
^^^^ Hit the nail on the head. If you are under 21 with 0 years NCB your more or less a lephur in the insurance world, no one wants to touch you. Every year insurance change their rates so next year it may be a lot less than you think, here are one or two things which may bring your insurance...
I had the same problem, if you open your bonnet and look to the top towards your windscreen there should be a metal case over some wires (the case is removable and is smallish). The metal case was wearing those wires away and making the car shudder, the mechanic said this is common with clios...
If you've incurred costs because of their error its not your fault, if they pull anything like that again i would tell them your going to the FSA (you have an eligable complaint) and they will s***t themselves and should refund you.
Just ask them what they consider as modifications, if lowering the car isnt on the list then ask them to leave a note on your file, that way if you ever need to claim you have evidence that you did tell them about lowering your car. Hope that helps
Alot of your insurance price is to do with your postcode, companies rate your area by themselves not on like a national data base. It's always best to shop around.:approve:
