going to correct myself .... ANY loss or damage caused by mechanical or electrical failure is NOT covered.Ross M said:first off mechanical failure is not covered ... althought im led to believe for fire they should cover the rest of the car apart from the part that was the cause.
I like your style lolEvilJohn said:Seriously? But then again a good point raised is the fact that without a race licence from the MSA you've never raced! Fight technicalty with technicalty!!
I told them EVERYTHING when I was with them 'cos I didn't trust them, even down to having white dials, different badges, etc...cliokiz said:*Gulp*
Here's hoping i don't have to make a claim with Adrian Flux before my policy is up. I seriously doubt i'm going to renew my policy with them next year.
They've been alright so far but i haven't claimed with them. No doubt they'd find something on my car i didn't declare, like a sticker or something..
But you said earlier that they won't cover mechanical wear and tear, so they wouldn't have to pay out anyway?Ross M said:and mcbunny - if youve not informed the insurance comany your doing this and they find out then your violating your terms and conditions so they dont need to cover you because the racing can cause or speed up the process of mechanical/electrical failure or wear and tear therefore they can get out of it that way. but they would only find out if they dig hard.

lol
White16valver said:It still seems very wrong to me that they won't pay out for an unintentional fire.
I mean, if you came down to your car in the morning and found it a burnt out shell, and the fire brigade said it was some sort of electrical fault, how the hell were you supposed to know it had one?
Nice.Ross M said:i dont know lol. all i know is if thats found to be the case then the warranty would cover it if there is one.
Ross M said:lol its a crash so youll get payed out ... aslong as u dont admit it was deliberate.

So you lose your entire car if you're unlucky enough to be poor and unable to afford a 'new' car...
What would be the case if they couldn't discover a cause??
