I sholdn't be fucked, maybe just overheated, let it cool down etc and check all the wires, make sure speaker wire isn't causing a short, check the wiring into your sub as well as the amp too
I had this problem when putting 182 seats in my 172 cup, I just took all the wires out the cup seats and swapped them with the 182 wires, it's not hard and it all works bar the seat bealt pretensioner, which I'm informed doesn't work on many clio's either lol
I've had a 172 cup for a couple of month now, and its just started really playing up.
Basically it won't start, then when it does it will idle really erratically and the throttle pedal had no effect at all on the revs, then the car will just cut out. The electric and engine warning lights come...
Sub box carpet, IIRC there is a flap at the front of the parcel shelf near the seats, you can hide the wires behind that and just cover them with carpet from the speakers. Looks really tidy.

I'd say get an RS tuner from fast chip, heard some really great reviews and for £160, not too much either, this is what I'll be doing when I have the money, depends what you want the car to do though. You after power, noise, looks, ICE etc
