172 cup don't have the bearing carrier and 182 FF do and they'll probably be slightly different lengths.
You could remove the bearing carrier and try it, you might get away with it. Not all 172 cup shafts have the ABS rings either but you should be able to swap them.
The big difference is where the ports meet the head. The upper ones match fine.
They're all s**t that I've seen, even RS ones.
But it only makes the smallest difference having them matched.
I'm about to put my Jamsport matched inlets up for sale, PM me if you're interested. I have ITBs now...
It was an injector in the end. Was just a dodgy one on the spare rail too!
If you pull the rail out and get someone to turn it over you can normally see which is the bad one from the spray pattern.
Keep a fire extinguisher to hand ;)

It all depends on price. I tend to regard second hand tyres as false economy but that is because I don't know anyone who can fit them for cheap.
As the tread gets thin they won't hold heat as well. I normally run them until they're bald though to get my money's worth.
2mm is next to nothing though.
If it is just a run about I wouldn't bother with supertechs. Just get std valves from Renault or use the valves from the engine that spun a bearing if you're on that much of a budget...
That's not a problem I've heard of before, on the front.
Cup racers used Laguna hubs.
Are you sure they're getting fitted and torqued up correctly?
Can happen on the rears if they're missing the spacer at the back.
