Thanks for all your replies guys. Think I’m gonna try the rain sports now. I’ll have them ordered pay day. And get them in the spare wheels then. Thanks guys

I’ve had rsr’s on my old vxr on the road all year round. I thought they were really good.
I used them on track last year on my clio, they did well. But about 3/4 way through the day I noticed that they were splitting over the tread as if the tread was about to peel off. And I’ll be honest it’s...
Thanks for the video and the advice. Really appreciated. To be honest if the track started drying out I’d more then likely park up for a bit, swap wheels and go back out you know

That’s what I’m drawn to. I’ve used 2’s and 3’s but I’ve seen there’s a 5 out now. And I’ve seen the 3 for about £40

Hi just wondering what tyres people are using on wet track days.
I’m running AR-1’s for the dry but I really don’t know for wets.
I was thinking uniroyal because I used them in the road years ago and they were really good.
But I’m stumped. Just after a bit of advice really. Oh and I don’t...
Thanks for your replies guys. Gonna have a good think about it. I do like idea of window tint. Best of both worlds then

Hi, just curious about peoples opinions on sun strips. The cars got a full cage so the sun visors no longer work. Do people use them and what’s they’re opinion on them.
I can’t decide if I like them, I get the practical side of them. But at the same time are they in the way to?
Thanks

I looked at the zpo one and thought they looked really cool. So I’ve ordered one. Hopefully get it fitted tomorrow.
Your right tho you can anything for a gear knob can’t you. It’s ridiculous

Hi. Just wondering what gear knobs people are using. Mines gone a bit sticky. I’m currently running a standard shifter. With the intention of upgrading in 12-18 months time. So I’d rather buy something I can use on both. But I’ve seen them priced really cheap to silly expensive. So just...
So I could do exactly what I wanted. And just swap the sun axles, bottom arms, anti roll bar etc over to the bare units?

Hi. I’m looking at at doing a refresh on the suspension and getting things painted etc. just wondering are the 182 cup sub frame and rear beam different to a normal 182? As I might try and pick up some spare and just get them built up and swap them over.
Thanks

Hi guys sorry for the lack of reply from me. Thanks again for all the comments and advice. Really is appreciated. I’m gonna take some time and way my options up, I didn’t quite realise how much this could cost, I knew it wasn’t cheap by any means. But I think I’ll have to get Christmas out the...
Again sorry for the lack of knowledge/lots of questions. Just trying to learn a bit for myself to.
My main tracks would be pembrey and castle Combe. But the plan is to get some more further a field ones on as well. Do not have 1 regular track if they makes sense.
Would there be an issue if I...
Sorry for all the questions, gearboxes aren’t my strong point. Have any of you changed the final drive or just fitted the diff?
Thanks

I’ve never heard bad things about either. But never used one either. But the car will be track only next year and it’ll be getting more than the odd track day. Would you still use it then? Or go gripper?

Thanks for that guys. It was what I was thinking but just wanted another opinion.
Obviously diffs are mega expensive for clios. And everyone raves about the gripper plate diffs. But would I really see the difference between that and a quaife atb?
Thanks

Hi, my 182 is going into storage the winter. Whilst there I’m going to get it ready for next years track days. And I’m wondering what people would do first. Suspension or gearbox.
I’ve already done solid top mounts and some/most of the polly pushes. And it’s running cooksport springs on cup...
Brilliant thank you for that.
I knew of a fault with the wiring, if I’m right is it close to the fuse box? I didn’t realise it stop the car from starting tho

That is in the back of my mind. It played up about 2 months ago and all I did was unplug the body itself. Start it and plug it back in and it’s been fine since. Which is why I want to check that c
Is the pedal common on these to go?

Hi does anyone know what readings from a multimeter I should be getting from the 6 wires going to the throttle body?
Reason I’m asking is I did a track day yesterday, car was faultless all day, drive 20 minutes home. Left it idle for 30-45 minutes. Jumped into move it and now it just cranks...
The go pro one is quite expensive for what it is. £40 I think I saw it with them.
The one on Amazon looks good. I think it’ll try that.

Hi just wondering what go pro mounts people use on their roll cages.
Looking for something sturdy that’s not gonna move about.

Hi I’m looking at doing some head work on my 182, matches inlets, ported polished head etc and cams. But I’m unsure on what route to go down as I see a lot of people fitting 197/200 cams.
What’s the difference between them and say cat cams which I believe is the 438?
Thanks

Hi. Tried to start my 182 today, I accidentally left go of the key a bit quick so it didn’t start. Tried again instantly and it just started turning over and won’t fire.
Figured out if I unplugged the throttle body it’ll start, but revs at nearly 3k as like a default. If I plug it back in it...
Had a go at fitting these tonight. To be honest I don’t think I’d recommend them.
They’re ok. But I think I’d rather spend the extra on different ones.
The door handle cut outs aren’t big enough. The cut for the door pulls are in a place where you can utilise an holes to bolt them up. And...
I still haven’t got round to fitting them yet. They seem good quality etc. So soon as I get a chance I’ll get them on and get a few photos.

Well I took a gamble and ordered off that site. They came today and so far I’m happy. I won’t be fitting them until next week.
But so far they look tidy quality. Al the holes are cut out neat. All the fixing holes are there.
I’ll put a photo up when I fit them next week
