My mate had one of the later Mk2 MR2's - the one with just over 170bhp. I read a review that said it wasn't as good as the earlier 150ish hp models and I'd have to agree with what they said about the engine. The powerband is very narrow, it seems gutless until you get a kick at the end like you...
When I search for people on Facebook it keeps saying they are not found even though they are there. It won't even find any John Smith's! It will only find those on my friends list.
Is it my PC or is there a problem with the site?
I have the Virgin 20mb cable modem service with Scientific Atlanta 2100 modem.
I just found out the reason I have only been getting 10mb max is because my router can't handle anymore - even with a wire connection let alone wireless.
When I connect directly to the router I get the full 20mb...
My 32 bit Vista recognises 3.50GB of my 4GB of RAM.
I bought a new PC with Vista which is more powerful than my old XP machine - the latter only has 1GB of ram for a start and an old single core CPU.
Yet the XP machine is noticeably quicker.
I wouldn't upgrade an XP machine to Vista, you...
Ok with Windows XP, whenever doing Windows updates it would leave backup/temp files in the Windows folder. I think they were hidden folders and also it would leave a load of text files in there called "KBxxxxxxx" where xxxxxx was a series of numbers.
Anyone know what I am on about?
Well I...
I've told this story before but when my mate had his Mk1 V6 we came out of the pub one night and some blokes asked him if it was a 1.2...
Some cars just have that look about them I guess.
I did it all the time when engine braking-only but the pedals were not set up properly for doing it when braking properly.
Little reason to do it in a front wheel drive car, if it were that critical they would fit slipper clutches and change the pedal configuration!
Might save a bit of wear...
I've always thought of the CTR as being a boy racers car so I guess the 182 must be one too.
But yeah you shouldn't worry about what people think. Then again it can be a problem at times.
When I had my 182 I had nothing but grief from boyracers and older drivers in greyracers cars (M3's, Evo's...
Yeah he is a pretty mad driver although I think he has calmed down now and just cruises.
Anyhow he has had so many cars that I couldn't tell you what he has out there now! I think it is a SLCR. I didn't know he had 10 off of you. He had a 1.2, a blue 182, an inferno 182, a Megane 225 and a...
Yeah thats his name!
I hope he don't by my mates old ph1 V6 as he ripped half the underside off on a curb and I am not sure the repair work was 100% quality. He px'd it for an S2k back in 05 so I have no idea where it is now.
WK02 ZHF - watch out for it.
3 weeks time.
Handing it back to the lease company and will then be borrowing my brothers Aygo on a long term basis.
15k on the clock at the moment which ain't much in 3 years I guess. Can't justify it any more as I spend most of my time in 30 or 50 zones with slow muppets in front dictating...
My mate used to get that from his 1.2 but he drove it like an F1 car!
I was getting 50 to 55mpg (per tank) on the computer out of mine but I was driving for consumption and freewheeling down hills!
The computer lies a bit. By measuring at the pumps I'd say the computer claims it is doing 3 or...
This thread was done to death when the 182 came out and apart from a few people that got ripped off, everyones insurance company said that it didn't have to be declared.
When I mentioned it to my insurance I was told that if it was factory fitted extras then it didn't have to be declared. I...
Wondering what the cost and rebuild schedules are like and also the driveability of the engine with the power delivery in the mid and low range.
They are getting close to the power output of the 1.5 litre F1 engines from the 80's. I remember reading that when tuned for qualifying on the faster...
Paying £1150 on the bike with a £600 excess.
Thing is I would quite happily have a £1000 voluntary excess.
I say that because if I had to claim anything up to £1000 I would pay it out of my own money. The reason being that if I had to make a claim then because I don't have enough NCB to...
Ebay and the BBC are the most browsed where I work. Ebay has since been blocked. Facebook and all those sites along with hotmail etc are all blocked too.
On a more alarming note I could swear my boss is spying on my facebook - outside of work obviously! When we talk she sometimes lets slip...
Your buying it as a piece of furniture?!?! Why not just get a decent fish tank instead?!?!?!?:rasp: Well anyway it does the job as a good piece of furniture as it is a glossy black and all curved etc.
I had movie plus on a Philips CRT a few years back. It smooths out the frame rate of...
I think I just bought the 32" version of that Samsung. I had a 26" before that I paid £550 for 2 years ago and just bought the 32" one off of Amazon for £499 (think you could get it £20 cheaper elsewhere but I trust them) and I have to say it is brilliant for a budget LCD. A noticeable...
I haven't seen that before. People go on about others posting vids of themselves speeding down empty dual carriageways but it is people like that tw*t that need to be tracked down and prosecuted.
Back in '93 I was told a story by one of the instructors on my CBT about a guy that crashed and was decapitated.
One of the fireman that was at the scene (I think a car was involved or fluids spilt) found his helmet but when he looked inside there was no head.
They spent ages looking for the...
I think the 197 looks fecking wicked. Love the looks inside and out but it just doesn't seem as good value as the 182. The discounted prices available are good but a lot of the toys are missing that were standard on my car.
