Is this MPG on my 182FF about right?

post cat lambda doesn't do anything! Something is very wrong to do 26-28 on a run in a 182. Very wrong indeed.

There is literally no way a sweeping statement like that could be proven or disproven. far too many variables

    Jenvey ITB help please

don't use the standard clip, get a jubilee clip. The outlets are slightly smaller

New rear shock absorbers - Sachs or OEM for the 182.

No they're not bullllllllshit! I've seen genuine last less than 8k. They're only made by KYB, they're nothing particularly special. The sachs ones are OK, but they're equivalent to a normal 172, no cup/cup pack equivalent available

Is this MPG on my 182FF about right?

nor me to be honest, but this is getting on my nerves. I've had 300bhp cars which will match this for consumption.

Is this MPG on my 182FF about right?

I think it's the gearing. I get better economy round town than on a run, which is ridiculous.

Is this MPG on my 182FF about right?

I barely get over 26 in the 197. Sack of s**t that it is

Is this MPG on my 182FF about right?

aircon 172/182s tend to be in the 36-38mpg region. Cups regularly tip past 40

    Why doesn't a 182 manifold fit a ph1?

Yes. I still does both though

    Bench testing a lambda sensor??

Clip is a c**t for that. Reboot the comp and try again

    Humming noise, not wheel bearing?

    99.99999% that's still a bearing

    Toastfrenzy's Tin Top, some say...........

Thats the layout they used for FCS. nice bit of infield. the section of main oval makes a clio feel stupidly slow, it's SO wide!

    Bench testing a lambda sensor??

it's a LOT easier to just plug in proper diagnostics and look at a signal trace

    Why doesn't a 182 manifold fit a ph1?

shouldn't matter what you start with as you should end up with the same thing once they're reworked

    Bench testing a lambda sensor??

the resistance of the heater circuit can be taken as an indication of function.

Different caster each side - should I be worried?

only if you use the crappy non standard bolts. The originals are a pretty positive fit
  21. D

    The Clio smell?

cups swell of wet dog, or sweaty trainers. my 197 had the same aroma and has the same cloth so i'm sure its that

    Iridium vs Platinum plugs

I would stick with platinums to be honest, they less fragile than iridium.

    Why doesn't a 182 manifold fit a ph1?

lots of small things. bolting points, the TB bolt pattern, vac take offs, lack of an ICV on later ones.

Temp needle going up then down

The ECP one didn't fit in the housing. I had to file the edges down. It's stopped working again so I'm changing it free of charge next time the car comes in to me

Temp needle going up then down

genuine should be £20.20. Had poor experiences of non genuine so I won't use them anymore.

new steering rack bushes, huge improvement.

very simply, with a prybar, lever the rack from side to side. If it shifts across and stays there the bushes are shot. There will always be a bit of movement as it's a rubbermounted rack, but it should spring back into place. They usually look in poor condition on the bits you can see by this...

Temp needle going up then down

old stat tends to cause quick but smooth changes on the gauge. Faulty sensor tends to make the needle jump
