Fits snug, I think it was made by 'Custom Car Covers' or something like that, don't remember, but these tailored multi-layer covers are quite expensive (£250-£300), wish I had remembered to fit it over the last few weeks to prevent all the firework blat.
Check underneath your carpets under the drivers/passengers seats, there is sponge/sound deadening stuff which soaks up any accumulated water - this does not always show up as wet carpets, but those sponges can hold a large amount of water, should be obvious when you feel under the carpet.
Please do Tez, bring your spirit level....I think it's just a optical conclusion, the modern plates are really flimsy and it has a slight bow, being bolted on (not glued), if not I bow my head in shame!
Thanks for the comments fellas, especially about the Escort, as this was only finished and on the road a few weeks ago.
>"have you used your son's 182 much?"
Not this year, only about 300 miles, but not had chance for much road 'pleasure' time, as been busy with family matters, the ford even...
Polish out today and both cars got a good going over,
Will be taking the RS2000 to the Himley show on Sunday, if anyone is going look me up.
Still not sot sure which is the shiniest.
It's took me three years to get the Ford into shape.
These two live together permanently.
I love 'em both.
If you are only having two refurbed - you don't expect them to match the others do you? (cos they won't).
City Powder Coatings do a good job cheap, but rarely answer phone calls, the turnaround is usually a few days, not sure if different if you leave the car with them, try ringing - good luck.
As you probably know, there'll be no more discs issued after the end of the month, so the disc holder will be redundant, pity the tax will continue though
You may want to consider and comment on what to replace it with!?
I've already got a few ideas but what about you?
Yes, you can access it from the boot when you have removed the boot arch carpet.
Easy job with a bolt, make sure you seal it well inside and out to stop any corrosion.
Seems a common occurrence, I happened to me when I tried to remove one and I applied very little torque to the nut.
I am so sorry to hear about your families loss, my thoughts are with you, this is something I have personally experienced and I know what your family are going through, and it is not good and it doesn't get better.
Another tragic and needless loss of a young life.

Renault Arctic Blue
Paint code J41
Part nr. 77 11 422 227
2 x 8ml kit, base plus lacquer.
or you could get it mixed up at a local paint factor if you want cheap!
I've done this a few times so here's my tips.
Scuttle panel, remove both sides, careful with the clips on the underside, they can break and are not replaceable, there is also a small clip at each end which locates into the inner wings - don't loose them.
Remove the wiper mechanism, it's held...

Three years to the date, it doesn't get easier....
Nothing much to add to the project other than passed the MOT in February with no issues, a new oil filter and new Elf oil in, only 800 miles covered since the last MOT, raised a chuckle from the examiner though.
Still been really busy...
When the clips break on the plastic scuttle cover, the seal will not fit tight to the screen, but in fact it will not stop water going into the scuttle well, as rain and washing water goes in there anyway.
A simple test to see if your drains are blocked, get a watering can and pour some water...
Worth checking the central outlet drain first, it has a rubber flip-flap, you can't see it but you can poke you finger in and give it a good seeing to, if it is a blockage here then you should see it peeing outa there.
Get your hand down the back of the engine about in the middle, down along...
Thanks guys
It only does it on auto, manual fan speed settings are steady, I don't remember it constantly changing speed like this before, the constant whooshing sound is noticeable without the radio on, could it be the temp sensor? - although I replaced this a couple of years ago...
Noticed on a short journey today that the climate/heater fan started to constantly change speed, never noticed it do this before, but mostly got the music up too loud.
Didn't do it all the time though - seemed to be working normal at first, but when it does, it oscillates rapidly through...
I think one of the problems I found with RS192 was that the stretcher bar that goes between the rear of the back boxes was slightly too short and the pipe centre-centre does not match the bumper cut-outs, from memory probably only by 5-10mm but with the pipes tight up to the cut-outs it does...
Thanks for the comments Stu.
........."Mum what the $&@*#........."
Exactly our thoughts at the time, the wife has been reluctant to drive it since!
Stu & Simon, re: The software, well, I have not built an installer for it yet, but if there is any interest from you guys, I will get on with...
Mine came with the cat gasket, not sure about the clamp, this from from the manufacturer, but that was a couple of years ago.
Good luck, not easy to get it to look right.
.....your rear seat passengers will be less impressed!
Thanks for those comments Chris
The car is still going well, however I've not had much to update the thread with in the last few months
Just recently I have been very busy with his other legacy, my Son was very much an enthusiast and this is shown with the cars he owned, the other car you can...

Unless you remove the carpet and the under-carpet 'sponge', it will take an age to dry out - perhaps never....
I completely removed mine, I squeezed out a gallon of water from the sponge, and afterwards had to leave it out in warm summer sunshine for four days before it was completely...
Often a quick fix without removing the scuttle.......
The central scuttle drain comes out at the bottom of the bulkhead, a common problem - at the end of the drain pipe is small rubbery flappy bit, not sure why it's there, but it is usually gets blocked with debris over time.
You can find this...
The symptoms are a completely flat battery.
Could be the alternator is not charging it.
Simple test is with a voltmeter (multi-meter) across the battery terminals, there should be a noticeable rise in voltage when the engine is revved, or if don't have a meter, switch on your sidelight lights...
I replace a seat belt last year.
