Check your scuttle drains, if they are blocked - the rain or wash water can build up and then it will leak in through the bulkhead aircon fitments into the car.
The fact that it happens whilst the aircon is on could be the result of vibration around poor fitting bulkhead seals.
You can...
Hi Guys
Not sure if my tailgate lifting struts need replacing?
When I lift the tailgate to chest height on level ground - there is no effort from the struts in pushing up the tailgate further - is this normal?
When the tailgate is manually lifted to head height - there is a small effort from...
Good job done.
Did mine a few days ago, will just add that a wiper arm puller is very worthwhile and anger saving device.
Also worth a mention is the small plastic 'tits' that fit into the rear of the inner wing and hold the extreme ends of the plastic scuttle panel, they always fall out, get...
Thanks Phase1sr and the other sensible comments
No probs, don't mind a bit of banter but don't see the original question pointless, I don't want my paint stripping, perhaps Yell will allow me to test it on his first or perhaps he gets good results with the peanut stuff?
I am not into finer...
Hi
I picked up a fabric case of G3 car care products, got it for next to nothing but is this stuff rated?
Includes vehicle wash, bird poop remover, glass cleaner, alloy cleaner, fabric cleaner.
Cheers
Hey Mc.
~
Was thinking about this this evening, it may be worth a try.
Right-click desktop
Screen Resolution
Option "Make Text and other items larger or smaller"
Make sure this is set to 100% (or try other).
These DPI settings can cause unusual display problems with older programs with...
Maybe so, I running both of the 0.2.3 versions together and the one (from install package=earlier version?) I can expand the window - but the various controls stay fixed position, but the other (later?) version, the window appears to be a fixed size i.e. not expandable/size the window.
I am...
The set-up file in the last link still installs 0.2.3 - is this regarded as the working version or is that 0.2.2?
Am I to understand that the problem is specific to your system or is this a problem for everyone running this latest version, as some of the other guys have indicated - the problem...
As I am not familiar with this program, did earlier versions of it have the same display compatibility problems in W8?
I did experience many issues loading this project into VB6 albeit on a W8 machine, so have not got very far yet, and it looks like it would take quite a bit of sorting before I...
OK, thanks
Have taken a quick look at the files and looks like they are dated 2009, v0.2.2 - is that the version you have? The executable in the other link has a similar time-stamp so could be.
There are several different sets of code, each for a different display resolution it would appear...
I,ll have a look over the week-end if I get a minute, can you just indicate what this soft is/does and where it's from?, I am always a little apprehensive letting stuff loose on my machines.
Project update.
One of the recent highlights was a trip down to CSS at the Duxford IWM, by far the greatest distance I have driven the car, following the West Midlands convoy down was great fun and the time absolutely flew by.
This was a 230 mile round trip, although the missus was also...
If they are standard springs there may be some signs of the colour coding, the 182 cup pack springs have both yellow and blue paint blobs on the coils.
Thanks to Don and the W.Mids. group for the convoy down - from the back there was an awesome sight of Clios snaking far into the distance.
Anyway, a bit of self indulgence, as I didn't see my car in the thread.
Also nice to meet Liamm, and the 'legs' too.
Yes, we made it to CSS this year, had a great time and really glad we went along, I'll be adding an update to this thread shortly.
"S C", The cover I got was 2nd hand, I can't remember the maker (something like "Classic Car Covers"), it does have a label, just it's wrapped and packed at the...
What a great day out for a tenner, really glad we decided to go.
On the return journey to the W.Mids we were stationary for 30 minutes, plus another 30 minutes crawl around J3 M6 north bound due to a big pile-up there, but otherwise enjoyed our first CSS 'meet'.
Thanks for a great day CSS, this was our first meeting, despite the weather we really enjoyed it.
A couple of piccies for those that missed the Spit. fly past.
And the car park:
A big thank you to the organisers, a great day out for a tenner, the weather, bah - no matter.
We are tanked up and ready to go in the morning, and hopefully will see you lads at Corley, may not be able to keep up with the convoy especially if the weather is murky, so don't worry we'll make our own pace if need be.
Will see you there, please come over and say hello, we are very...
Hey guys, thank for the comments and sentiments.
Well, my wife says she is up for it! so will be seeing you @CSS
Forgive, I probably laid it on a bit thick in that previous post but to show that despite what happened, we still have a bit of humour left.
We have no problem at all with young...
Hi Guys
I was thinking of going down to CSS but have never done anything like this before and I don't know anybody off here at all.
Not sure if I can tag along, normally I am only a Sunday driver and don't get out on busy roads, but maybe I could be a 'back marker' (I think you call it) or...
"....loads of wd40 and slacken, then tighten, slacken then tighten, slacken then tighten."
The best advice! don't shear the bolt, you will end up with more problems than you started with, the above will work.
I'm talking about the button that is used to fold down the rear seats, adjacent to the head-rests.
I'm sure this must of happened to others - the seat-belt clip that is incorporated with the button has broken, as anyone successfully replaced the button or escutcheon, how is it attached to the...
