Been told they can be rebuilt by kw, but was wondering if it can be a home job or if anyone has any better recommendations really.
At a glance they seem to be threaded at the top of the damper so should unscrew.
Have you done any before @PhillipM
I have a set of St suspension coilovers off my Vauxhall combo van. Yes I know not strictly a Clio but I’m sure this thread could come in handy for others at some point.
One of them has started leaking so I’m looking to get it sorted with a new seal or a rebuild if possible.
I have spoke to...
Just re read through the thread and. As there’s only 3 people who have rsvp’d saying they’re going maybe I should take it back about it being a good turnout then ?
Surely there’s going to be others heading down for a look who aren't in Clio’s or am I wrong?
Clio ownership has come to an end again. Big garage clear out and all remaining parts will be listed on here in the for sale section.
Over and out! (I’ll be back)
@MrBlonde the bits I have are listed in the for sale section already mate.
@OssPoop it was never the cleanest example and has its issues. Can get more for it in parts than I can as a full car.
In a turn of events it’s now the cup that’s getting broke while the BG 182 is still in daily duties.
Plans are in place for a new engine for the 182 when the cups gone... watch this space
The BG 182 will be getting broke if there’s no interest by the end of the month.
In a strange way I’m looking forward to driving the cup again as I haven’t in a couple of months and missed it!
Due to a change in circumstances at the end of the month I was going to be putting the BG up for sale and just keep the cup. Unfortunately at the end of the week I noticed it starting to smoke at high revs.
Due to this it’s up for sale and I’m just going to cut my losses on it. A sad day in...
I’ve got cup shocks and eibach sportline springs on both Clio’s and can’t fault them for day to day driving! When I bought the cup it had coilovers all round and was set up stiff as a board, granted it drove well but would have been way to firm for a drive to the shops! All depends how your...
Recently the cups took a back seat as I’ve sold my daily runner and stupidly bought a 182 to drive for a bit.
Instant regret as it’s cost me a small fortune and I’m not even two weeks into ownership.
Not a lot done on the cup this weekend. New project has arrived in the form of a 182ff which il be using daily. Not sure on the long term plans with the cup, all depends how the 182 pans out.
As I keep looking at the cup without the coilovers and just on lowering springs. The 2118’s don’t seem...
Spent the afternoon cleaning up the set of Turinis that came with the cup ready for being put up for sale as soon as they’re done. Brake dust that isn’t cleaned regularly is a nightmare!
Coilovers removed today and in their place the standard low mileage cup shocks and eibach sportline springs. Photo doesn’t do it any justice as the driveways all over the place....
@MrBlonde I haven’t any plans to. If they don’t continue in this project I’ve already got them lined up for the next one!
I’ve only driven once with them and I was really happy with them! Hug you well and feel comfy!
He’s not using the account any more so I’ve claimed it back now I’ve got another clio @JB21
They were 80 compound from the civic cup if I remember correctly.
Gutted you had to put it up for sale! Read through this a few times now!
In regards to the fuel tank, is there any way to keep the diesel tank by cleaning and venting? Or is it just easier to find a petrol one. Petrol kangoos are rare! @H2MRK
@Ben NBR Cup give us a shout if your interested in selling your current suspension setup in the near future to fund the ast dream! Car looks mega and I bet it performs well!
