10-20 is the one to get, been in B&H Photo Video? Too late now if you haven't as they are closed for Passover, but even if you don't buy in there it's an amazing experience, awesome store.
And yep, 10-20 should be about $500.
As mentioned, you need a wider lens (lower mm) or to stand much further back!
This is with a Sigma 10-20...
Which as you can see is not only wide enough to fit a skyscraper in, but wide enough to get most of them around you in as well. Or even better, if you shoot straight up at...
Loved this when I spotted it at Combe, looks even better when moving. Was going to get some pics but you were always sat in your car so I didn't like to just start snapping away :)
White 172/182 respray with Anthracite Turinis, probably local to me as it has a local plate and was stickered up in Somerset...

Did you go out with Nick? He was absolutely flying around lunchtime, really impressed (particuarly his line through Quarry, which looked well off but seemed to work really well). Shows just how fast the CC Saloons are though, he was quickest in his session yet in the Saloons there are cars much...
Passed you at about 8:45 this morning mate, you were heading into Chippenham and I was coming down towards Combe.
Spotted another Silver Vee in the Quarry car park as well, massive spoiler on the back. Also a Black 182 with yellow touches in the paddock (loved the wheel effect and engine bay...
Did you go at about 1pm? I passed a White 197 on the long straight between Lackham College and Sainsburys about then. Just before I passed that one there was a Megane Trophy in the layby with a guy chucking up next to it!
Lots of nice metal out on track today, most driving quite cautiously due to the rain but a few were really gunning it.

...and the Clios are over in the Clio Media...
After a gorgeous week here in Wiltshire we were treated to a nice downpour for the first Action Day of 2008. As expected Quarry + Rain was quite eventful, lots and lots of spins but thankfully not too many major offs in the morning.
I only stayed for the first 4 hours but managed to get quite...
Congrats to Planetx for the victory in the last round with this image depicting the subject 'Sky/Clouds'...

Comp runs from now until midnight Tuesday April 29th. Any photos entered must be taken between now and midnight...
Picked up my second D50 from here a few weeks back (cheers JJ!) so I thought I would take it for a trial this evening. Lived here for 6 months now and have never investigated the sunset opportunities, so I walked out at 7:45 this evening and within minutes I was overlooking all the fields that...
Here goes again. Vote will be open until Friday evening so hopefully we can get a challenge started ready for the weekend again (so if you are in the running, think of a new challenge now)
Had some difficulties figuring the entries out from the 'old' pics (and even the EXIF data is telling me...
Wow, as mentioned the butterfly pic is incredible, love it. Which lens was that with? 70-300 in macro mode?
I struggled with humidity at Marwell Andy, just had to cover the lens until I wanted to grab a pic, only got a minute or so max to grab a few pics. The butterly bit at Longleat isn't...
Another last minute entry, spotted a good sunset so I ran over to the fields, I just missed the sun and some epic storm clouds were rolling in.
About 2 minutes after I took this it got even darker and the heavens opened!
9 >> 19 for me, can see a premium increase coming.
Interestingly the 172 Cup is going up exactly the same as the 172 (16 >> 31) yet I always found a lot of insurers bumped the Cup up a bit, many seemed to put it in Group 17.
Thought you might like to have a look at this little beast...

Looks stunning, will begin racing next month, fairly standard for the rest of this season before it gets some serious power over the next winter break.
Can't see the pics yet (at work, no Photobucket access) but sounds like a great trip.
I did Venice in 36hrs last year, was a bit more planned than your trip but was still great fun, amazing what you can pack in when you just blitz it!
