Any aftermarket filter cannot meet the filtration quality of an OEM filter its not all from the K&N but it will be letting more crap in than the standard paper element
Aftermarket filters are no where near as good in terms of filtration as paper elments, however the oily deposits have come from the crankcase breather!
My post cat lambda went faulty after putting the decat in, unfortunately I never got an MOT done before I sold it (after putting the cat back in) so not sure on emmisions but it will most likely just be a faulty sensor. As I got it switched off and then it popped back up again
Agree, Town driving and less than 2k miles, all these people suggesting big brands are obviously on crack. Get a cheap set if its driven like a granny.
No prob, also removing the plugs makes the easier to turn as your relieving the compression. Once you have got as much out as you can you could always do a compression test if you have one to confirm if its all okay or not :)
take the plenum and inlet off remove what you can if its stuck then turn the engine manually backwards via the crank if poss. should be okay aslong as you only ran it for a sec.
PICS required!!
erm so the outside of the car smells a biut like gearbox oil, big deal lol.
My "Justice" car jacket smells like it and It's still my favourite car job jacket lol. Manning up FTW :)
Okay serious suggestion, tried degreaser?
What, how did you think that one up lol!
Get a filter in ASAP and get a compression test done, I dont think youl have any problems to be honest
Fram filters are fine matey :)
On a standardish 182 If I recall 50 was about as high as you could go without needed a progressive controller, as yours is tuned I'm not so sure! Benr would be the best to answer this question imo.
