Roll Cage - It's about time!

Picked it up today, super happy with it! For a kit, it needed a shed load of work to make it fit, like taking an inch off the height of the whole cage, shortening some of the bars down by two inches! Nonetheless, Danny did an awesome job. I'll get some good pics up soon, but I'm just touching...

Roll Cage - It's about time!

I don't know the final price yet, Danny will let me know the damage tomorrow ;) Not sure what you mean about it catching your eye What!? I don't use facebook, so no idea what you're taking about lol Yep, last major mod. :)

Roll Cage - It's about time!

Thanks, not my work though. Danny @ 519 Automotive is the legend responsible :)

If you mean on the left hand side, that's just a wire.

    Harness securing rings

If that picture is what I think it is, I used those for the front mounting points (lap straps). I drilled some holes through the cars floor, then the bolt on the ring goes through and threads into that plate. Advantage of that is you can choose where you want to secure them.

Roll Cage - It's about time!

That's what I had in mind, just wasn't sure if there's a better way. I'll mask off as much of the orange cage bit as I can, so I only overlap a tiny bit.

Roll Cage - It's about time!

Woohoo! It's 99% done. I'm picking it up tomorrow. Danny's just got to tidy up some of the welds, and we'll probably fiddle about with a few things when I get there. As it is now :) A bit of advice needed: Now I knew before I sprayed the cage that Danny would have to remove bits...

    remap 182

Doing a proper remap on a NA engine is never going to give you that much, not like the turbo Meganes etc....

    What exhaust to go for?

    remap 182

^ I would disagree about the mpg loss. I noticed an increase in mpg.

    What exhaust to go for?

I went for the yozza, they may be hard to get hold of at the moment though. I've heard good and bad things about Milltek. Have a search on here for what people say.....

    remap 182

Look into the RSTuner remap, you do it yourself. Just need to buy (or borrow) a bit of hardware and a license. Great mod to do, I did mine easily - just improves the drivability of the car.

    What exhaust to go for?

Yozza isnt raspy. I'm like you, I didn't want a chavvy exhaust that you typically see on saxos.

    182 Cup Suspension VS Aftermarket

^correct, but I think a single cup pack is a little harder to come by.

BTCC @ Donington - Difficult weekend.

I see what you tried to do with that last image, almost works. I know what you mean about the track though. I did a few drift events, luckily it was using the Melbourne loop and final chicane, so nice and compact. I imagine the whole circuit is a different story!

When it comes to selling it?

Depends on the mods. If it's a bit of a chav wagon, with stupid lexus lights and massive alloys - then that will only appeal to certain people. If it's done tastefully, then it could be in your favour.

just a quick question about brakes on a 182 cup

Pretty easy. Spanners and torx adapters. That's about it. I used a big pair of pliers to squeeze the piston back in. Pikey...but it worked :)

FRONT WHEELS DRIVING WHEN IN NEUTRAL
