Sure it isnt 'cost effective', the whole head has to come of so that essentially a head gasket change with new cambelt.
However the gains are present so long as the heads are done properly.
THe clios are lucky in that the stock heads are CNC modified so they are consistent and flow well...
mating face of disc to hub has to be immaculately clean and free of dirt. Even a gain of sand can knock the run out enough to cause vibration that is quite severe.
I'd agree, having tried all the options, live tuning isnt all its cracked up to be.
Its quicker to adj the map, run the car up on an accel program, datalog and adj the maps accordingly.
Emulation requires your ECU to be ripped apart on the spot and the end result is no diff.
I've used RC6 compound on alot of cars for a while, and they seriuosly rock. Proper stopping power, zero fade ever, work in zero deg temps...brilliant.
Eat discs, squeel like nothing else, but dont emit too much dust.

It works off oil pressure through the cam centre itself as its hollow, the solenoid you have pictured is correct, and that is tripped by a ground by the ECU when VVT should be triggered. Oil pressure acts on the vanes inside the pulley to push the centre unit...
