I would think he wasn't pushing it in far enough. the space behind the HU is very tight so you have to make sure all the wires are out of the way.

if the cambelt snapped the car wont run at all. I agree with Dan that timings jumped. Or you have blown a plug, or dropped a valve.

This makes no sense. If the belt flew out under the car (I'm assuming you mean cambelt as you have said aux belt is still in place), then how do you know it sounds like a diesel and its low on power?! It wont run without a cambelt!

post a pic of the main screen after connection and the VCI unlock screen.

I would say that unless the OP is competent with computer systems, don't use this. It wont fix the problem as it is just an enumerator which is helpful for people who know what they are looking for.

Did you plug it into the car and then take the screenshot? He basically wants you to take the screenshot again as it didn't initialize correctly last time. Make sure you connect to the car all ok before you do the screenshots and VCI unlock number.

why are you sure the cambelt's snapped?

have you used the old fashioned way of checking for a spark? i.e using a spare plug on the end of a ht lead and earthed? and also have you removed fuel rail and check the injectors are actually squirting? if its doing all of that, then it could be TDC sensor or timings wrong?

can you hear the fuel pump priming when you turn the car on?

can you use the original dogbone and just insert the new bushes?

you didn't re-install windows correctly then, sounds like you didn't format /fdisk the drive fully first! at OP, use malwarebytes and if that doesn't work (it probably will, but make sure you run it with windows in safe mode), use a boot time scanner like avast's.

I really cant notice the difference between 95 and 99, anyway a bit off topic. The ECU will adjust its tables to suit anyway so it wont be a problem :)

I wonder where he moved the ecu + all the tanks? engine bay looks super tidy without them! edit- just realised the tanks are still in the same place, just hidden behind. does this thing actually run with all the leather on it? Id be worried about a fire!

just to expand on the tests a bit, I did a rough test to see what sort of restriction my IK was giving and found the average restriction to be 0.58psi (0 is equal to open air). That is based on these calculations (both at WOT)... Date / Time / Altitude (m) / Atmospheric Pressure / Intake...

I got the 1+1 as I don't like being locked into a contract and its half the price of the z3 with all the features I need. I didn't need a phone that can take picture underwater or use a PS4 controller with. Also the 1+1 run cyanogenmod out of the box, which is bloody brilliant - not bloatware...

I went for the standard screen protector. Applicator was brilliant and got it on first time without any air bubbles. Just be aware that on the last pre-order, the site went down for the first hour, but then they extended it. So if it happens again, don't give up after the hour is up :)

Couldnt get a reading off the barometric sensor so thought it didnt have one, must be the wrong pid! I will try again!

I expected it to go down? Actually I expected it to start in minus values and get closer to 0 when the tb is open? Also can the sensor only read 0 - 13.9 psi?

yes you can also do that if the injector has fully failed :) However that wont work if its just a sticky injector that's happy to work at low speeds.
