The general consensus is that they are cheap and well... crap lol
I'd rather spend my time doing a quick photomerge than...
clairemae love that first dog shot, makes me want to own a prime again. (assuming its a prime!)
My snow diary... starting with Sunday night..

Figured work would be a no go so took the camera to the station with me & been shooting everything...
My opinion? Thats a f*cking a cheap list, wish mine was like that lol
Only thing I'd not bother with is the Color Filter Set unless you really know your stuff, had my external flash nearly 2 years and never had a moment where I thought I'd need filters but I'm just a hobbyist..
Ouch! http://www.camerapricebuster.co.uk/prod66.html not a pretty graph, look at the jump, lucky I bought everything I need pre crimbo! Some massive jumps on the top end stuff!
For what camera? There is a new HSM version coming but imagine it'll cost a fair but more but will auto focus on entry level Nikons..
Only held one in Jessops and wasn't to impressed with the feel on the zoom ring but then I'm comparing it with far more expensive lenses. Would have been tempted...
Much prefer Deviant Art for the more ''interesting'' side to photography.. but probably need a user name and some activity now-a-days to view, some faves.. :D

Nice shots, I'd be happy with them, specially without flash. Lent my dad my 350D + 85mm f/1.8 at my graduation, needless to say it was all blur when I got the camera back!
p.s. looking at the shot with the pro, looks like is possibly using a cheap ebay Cactus trigger, hard to tell with the b&w..
Any top tips, the picture below should explain why. Would like to keep as much as the template as possible and be able to edit the text so no to print screening...
Thought Id share and look for feedback, take at either Virginia Waters or Worth Matravers in Dorset, well worth a visit just for the Square and Compass pub :)

Either adjust the brightness of the LCD on your camera or learn how to use a histogram, assuming your camera can display one..

If he goes body only, on a budget the 18-55 IS version is probably the only cheap lens worth getting.
Your camera accepts both EF and EF-S lenses, EF is just the name for the mount.

p.s. probably worth spending a few more notes for the APO.
In that case you look good to go.
Food for thought.. if I was using a lens just to shoot kids I'd buy my 85mm f/1.8 back, if you want a lens that gives you a wow factor from the camera that can shoot in low light and create dramatic portraits, this is the one...
Been looking at one of these, note its now called the Muffin top.
What do you want, shoulder or back pack, I've got a Mini Trekker AW which is great for carrying everything, tripod included and going on trips but its naff and over intruding for just taking out a few bits, really puts me off...
What he said.
I'd rather look at the Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 but download and run ExposurePlot to see what focal lengths you use the most.
