Easy to get 40mpg out the R53 tbh. Just fit cams, smaller pulley, intercooler, new injectors, etc, then map it & the trip computer doesnt work properly any more. In reality, the standard one i borrowed struggled to get 30 on my commute. Which is poor.

I would imagine that if the injectors have been changed, & the car rempapped, that the original values in the trip computer need to be changed via VAG-COM in order for it to work properly ;) Either that, or you travel everywhere at 50mph lol

Personally, i could never be bothered with the extra noise & hassle of a de-cat for an extra 1-2bhp (maybe), which lets be honest, you wont notice anyway.

I'd say the following were bare minimum breaking prices: PH1: 1250 PH2 Cup: 1650 PH2 172: 1650 PH2 182: 1850 Thats for a standard one, main items, not bothering with all the interior plastics & other sh1t that add up over time.
