Re: Sachs unpin’d, Koni rears and Mark Fish Springs
The MF'd Trophy i drove was waaaaay too stiff for road use, felt like the rear end was bobbing around all over the place lol ...
Mine is still pinned at Renault settings which i find perfect for road driving (& never wanted to change it on...
Perhaps you could have tried an RS2 on your 'healthy' 186bhp engine, kept the goodness sealed in & got over 200bhp?
Instead of pulling it all apart, fitting some cams and only gaining 5bhp ... which seemed like an utter waste of money lol.
This chap on M3cutters does VMR reps: http://forums.m3cutters.co.uk/showthread.php?t=33306
Apparently they come from the same factory as the real ones ...
It is a lovely colour isnt it! As you say, i love the way it looks different in pretty much every photo/lighting - got a real depth to it even at the moment as well, so god knows how it would look if a proper detailer got their hands on it ... instead of a pleb with a bucket & sponge like myself...
Would be rude not too really ...
lol. Evil man!!
We have the 7th & 14th left of the block booking - im assuming that everyone wants me to book it again?
Just to clarify guys, there is no football on tomorrow night as the hall has been hired out for a charity event.
Continues as per normal from the 7th Feb.
Personally, id get the cam timing checked as well, might as well - only 50 quid or so, but removes that as the possibility of the power loss.
If thats fine, then get the mapped looked into i guess? Timing is easier to check than a map though - i would have thought?
Thought i'd stick a couple of pictures up now the outside of the car is finished, & in the latter photos ... clean.
First up a weekend away to Cardiff for Sarah's dads birthday a couple of weeks back. As Richard (her bro) lives quite close to the Brecons it made sense for us to take two cars...

Great picture Luke!!
Strangely enough, all the recent threads have made me want to bring mine out of hibernation ...
Might have bought it some Recaro's again yesterday actually :o
Surprise of the day? Mike's rustbucket lol ...
Good day for Zee Germans:
My M3 - 100k miles - 333bhp (just about there)
Nicks M3 - 150k miles - 326bhp (should be 321, most do 305-310 max)
Vishs 330 - 160k miles - 221bhp (just about there)
Mikes 328 - 175k miles - 204bhp (should be 193!)
Saners...
Ive personally cleaned the Trophy once in 14 months ... Its a filthy shed. Mechanically however, its looked after money no object.
Very much driven/tracked/enjoyed.
The M3 is my commuting bus.
Blooming lucky not to be more seriously injured!!
Fair play to the guys that stopped as well, natural instinct to go & help another i suppose - proper gentlemanly.
Personally, i would have preferred to see it on some 18" 5 spoke S-Line wheels like so:
Looks like its trying a little hard now, especially without lowz.
lol, god knows, its a clio with 200 odd bhp - which in the grand scheme of things, isnt overly quick.
Will be interesting to see how the project turns out though :)
Re: Clio Bargins.
lol, i could be here all day ...
Best one is probably buying a cheapo ITB'd clio, then breaking it, which subsequently payed for the Trophy.
