I'm guessing he wants wedding quality and not to actually shoot one?!
Second hand, look at:

Whichever gives you enough change for a decent lens selection but choices are endless.
http://www.camerapricebuster.co.uk/ Canon have their rebates running now as well till 31st December, AFAIK.
I hear the 5D + 85 f/1.2L + 580EX II is quite liked by wedding shooters :clown:
What the f.... add some go faster stipes? :rasp:
You'll be happy with a Canon Ixus if you want small and compact, they have some cool and nifty features on them... that or buy the upcoming EOS 1Ds MK III if you really need to impess...
As said put in the CD, think its F8 or F10, then boot from CD option.
Depends how much the PC is worth, could be far cheaper to take it to a repair shop and get some upgrades done whilst your there..
Once you remove the software its ace, now have AOL wireless in the house, no AOL software at all on my PC and its never skipped a beat, unlike NTL that I had to re-set daily... sorry back on topic...
hmm lets compare
You have a 400mm field of view and I have 280mm x1.6 = 448mm field of view (oops I thought you had more before I did the maths :o lol)
Thinking some more, can't compare the size of the moon either as yours shoot 4:3 and mine 3:2 oops
And the red dot is a 'hot pixel', give...
Olympus lenses are f***ing expensive generally beside the two 'kit' lenses: http://www.camerapricebuster.co.uk/cat19.html
So the Olympus ZUIKO DIGITAL 40-150mm 1:3.5-4.5 is probably the only choice on a budget, not sure what third party lenses work with the E system but Sigma/Tamron/Tokina may...
eeeekk was tempted to sell my soul to apple for this but it weighs in at the same price as the iPhone (of course 35 a month on top but if you spend that much anyway..), which looks around the same size, why bother?
Why did Microsoft get fined nearly 500 million ove windows media player yet Apple can force you to buy apple everything, won't be suprised if you HAVE to have a Mac to work with the iPhone.

Great shots! A bit of USM and its very sharp.
Rhino172 - You need to shoot fully manual unless your camera has a spot meter as it will see lots of dark with a small bright blob and choose to expose for the dark and blow out the moon. Stopping the lens down to a higher f/number (f8 - f11) will...
haha what he said /\ just bought my 5th!!
Look out for a cheap 50 f/1.8 first though, will teach you so much about depth of field, shutter speeds, aperture, low light shooting and portraits..
Stay off there or you'll have a 5D and 85L f/1.2 within 6 months!!!
430EX is more than sufficient to light up a room or even rallye car 10+ metres away doing a night stage... for example :clown:
430EX does me fine, unless you see yourself needing to use off camea flash using slaves etc or need weather sleaing then you don't really need the 580.
The Canon tubes are way over priced, they have stronger clips etc but when your mounting a 50 f/1.8 on the end that weighs nothing its no biggy, at the end of the day its just air inside.
The Kenko or Jessops ef-s tubes are fine and much better value per mm but fiddly, working distance is poor...
Thanks, so over my head all this.
After shampoo, whats the best/budget way to dry the car before polishing, then what cloth to rub the polish on and rub my liquid wax in?!
Your help much appreciated!
So I've got a nice mark down one of my arches, 6 inches long and about 5mm to 10mm width, left by another car.
It's been there some time and hard srubbing with a sponge does nothing, mission impossible? layer of t-cut and some wax?
The D40x is just a pixel increase as far as I know, just marketing, unless you plan on making large print its probably not worth it.
The kit lens should cover your needs to a degree, my 18-55 is fairly wide and can get fairly close up. The choice of future lenses is endless with either system...
Hmmmm won't enter to deep into this one except to say, their both capable, look at what lenses you want in the future if any, try and have a play with both and AKAIK the Nikon only AF's with AF-S lenses...
http://www.camerapricebuster.co.uk/ ftw.
The 70-200 F4L is stop of light faster and will focus quicker but maybe not enough reach, the 70-300 is probably the better option for now. Alternativly there is the Sigma 100-300 f4 and ultimately the Sigma 120-300 f/2.8 but fast long glass gets a tad expensive :clown: damn this hobbys...

If your buying Canon I get my lenses of this guy, he's cheaper if you e-mail him and go outside of eBay..

As for what lens, what do you want to shoot, anything specific?
ISO makes the sensor more sensitive to light but also reduces quality, you want to use 100 or less on a camera phone.
Your phone won't have optical zoom (I doubt) so when you 'zoom' its just the camera cropping the original image so reducing quality...
