Just bought a Nikon D40 :D

Paid £360 for the camera a tripod and a SD card.

Camera on 1st inpressions is amazing, the battery is now on charge though

I want to go out tonight picture taking, wheres the best places to go at night?

Where is the exposure setting on the camera to do make a slower shutter speed?

goto S setting on a nikon i think, then when you press your i button use your scroller to goto the slowest setting, then you should be able to close the shutter for and open for as long as you wanna hold it down or with a Infra red button.

Look out for a cheap 50 f/1.8 first though, will teach you so much about depth of field, shutter speeds, aperture, low light shooting and portraits..
