There is a wealth of information and knowledge on the F4R and its varients. If there is anything specific you want to know then just PM me.
From the factory, assembly isnt what you'd compare to some K20A or B18c's....the quality of manufacture, design just isnt there. Geometry wise the short...
The static CR really means very little when you consider it as a means to decide on performance and reliability. You have to know the dynamic CR's you will be running at the points of peak VE. If you never hit 100% VE then you will never hit the calculated static CR, if you do and go over it...
With the viper it seems to be more of an issue with the entry cross sectional area since it is so small with the top hat thing for the cold air feed on, and the entry profile is just rubbish.
The viper is a positively teeny filter with a very low bhp rating, so you need to help it out as...
yea, but its not like the states where a comprehensive breakdown is given. The best information we have in terms of what constitutes their fuels is, nada.
We know what the commercially available competition fuels use, but our customers just dont use these fuels. So when it comes to...
There are better, but the sachs kit was more of a new era for damping control on a low cost mass produced hot hatch, rather than the be all and end all.
well, kinda.......honda bhp figures dont follow the lines of the rest of the world........i'm always battling against the honda BHP which seems to be about 10% higher than other cars lol.......its all the influence from the states.
True, they can make 240bhp in a well built grpN engine, but...
Get a mate to apply full lock and watch the PAS pump pulley.
Normally high pitch squeel is the pulley locking up because the belt is old or under tensioned.
No biggie.
86.9...........sheesh, why dont i just look at the internet sometimes.
So the RON average for tesco is 93 and 92.45 for optimax..........
So on paper, tesco is better all round......with the benefit of price.
well doh!!! lol
no seriously, credit due to tesco for actually saying their MON is a paltry 87 lol!
who in the real world gives a crap about RON!?
what is optimax anyway, i've still not found out, or rather, they've not replied to my emails.
In a very poor and basic trim, it wouldnt be very nice and you'd make more power from swapping to 2ltr.
In every case you NEED to drop in a slimline rad, it just prevents any induction length and generates massive induction temps.
The ECU does have long and short term trim tables, which are wiped out when power is lost for different amounts of time.
But simply running totally closed loop isnt always a great idea. First the lambdas in the std car arent accurate enough at any great varience from stoich, so they cannot...
OK, translating each paragraph.
1psi is not a problem, the engine can handle it.......it is afterall only a 7% increase in density roughly.
The problem is the 1psi boost increasing airflow to a level above which the ecu can 'see' and isnt correcting for.
:S
