Enjoyed reading this thread (again) ;)
Few questions regarding your build as I am going down the same route.
1) Is it regulated/rules as to where the fire extinguisher jets spray angles cover? Does the engine bay need them too?
2) How did you fill the holes in the floor panel where the rear...
Great 5 pot sound there, classic.
These are very rapid cars due to the 7 speed dual clutch S tronic box.

Read up about these last night in the Haynes Manual. Interesting read. Did not realise they had gas pistons in that trigger when the car makes a sudden halt (i.e crash). Hence why they need replacing. Clever things these Clios. Funnily I have never heard of them in other cars, only modern cars...
If they dont have side airbags then why do the seats have them, also why do the rear seat belt tensioners have them??
I stripped my car today and had warning lights (service and airbag) put rear seat belts tentioners back in and the lights went out.
Did a search on here, and a lot of good...
Indeed. I saw a full CF bonnet for sale (cant remember link) that weighed 3.5kg but was well over a grand!
Cant wait to see it in place, has it been fitted yet?
Any thoughs on this? (type that have the spring rear and not coilover rears).
Looking for a reliable coilover set up for between 600-800 quid.
I use KWV3s on my road car but dont want to fork out £1k+ for another set up.
Re: My 172 Cup (T5MY G) Gaz Coilovers/Ktec mounts & decat! Back in a clio :)
Nice, I like to see ppls little wish lists coming into action. Just ordered lots of stuff for mine today.
Im changing the expansion tank in the next few days and want to know what type coolant to use.
Car is 2002 172 cup
Is it a G14 type coolant? (life time use).
Interesting, I will be doing something very similar, I might go for a smaller diameter of ducting and mount if up close to the strut, so it has a direct feed to the discs. Only problem would be it fouling on the wheel/tyre on full lock.
Im looking at entering the MSV CDT ay some stage next year and want the car to meet the MSV Bluebook regs. It says if fitted with a catch can it must be minimum 2 ltrs and be clear or have a fluid gauge on the side (see through tube).
I would not like to say Knuckles as im still learning about the Clio engine. I am guessing if you have an open crank case breather then yes. But otherwise I would just leave it (unless you want it just for looks),however It might add 5bhp onto the Butt dyno when fitted though ;)
Great post, I will be using this as a guide when I fit mine.
One thing I will comment on, surly that duct tape (no matter how great it is) will come loose after a few months or even at high speeds. Would securing it with cable ties to the arch liner and fog light bracket?
I have a cold air...
